On 26 March QuinetiQ closed the part of the beach that they own to the public and stationed security guards. Please complete the petition to return the beach to public ownership.
Shortly afterwards they demanded that we change our website because it was misleading and we are of course happy to clarify the position. However we will do so according to the actual facts and not those supplied by QuinetiQ. We are very tempted to publish the correspondence.
QuinetiQ own the beach above mean high water and they have not designated that as a naturist beach, indeed they have made their dislike of Naturism clear. The situation on the remainder of the beach is unchanged.
From the Free Car Park adjacent to the Caravan Site. Walk down the path to the beach and turn left. Once beyond the signs clothing is not required. N.B. It has been brought to my attention that one of the signs indicating the Naturist Beach is immediately adjacent to the end of the footpath. In order to avoid offending others Please do not undress within 50 metres of the footpath.
There are toilets and other facilities in the textile caravan site but it is unlikely that these are available to those who are not camping at the site. Park in the Free Car Park adjacent to the Caravan Site.
Note! Map marker may only indicate an approximate location. Except where otherwise stated, visits to clubs and swims must always be pre-arranged with the event organisers.
