Don’t miss out – book your place on our bigger Blackpool weekend

Sponsored by Chalfont Holidays and El Portus

Ever since 2010, naturists have gathered in Blackpool in February for a weekend organised by British Naturism and the Blackpool & Fylde
Sun Club. We’ve had some great times at the Bond Hotel and we’re delighted to announce that such has been our previous success that the event is being extended in 2013.

Rather than running from Friday afternoon until lunchtime on Sunday, we will now be going right through to Monday afternoon - with full exclusive use of the Bond Hotel (www.bondhotel.co.uk), where nudity will be permitted throughout the weekend.

No guests will be checking into the hotel on Monday night, which means that those BN members who are able to stay until the end of our weekend will be able to be nude until well into the evening.

As always, we will have another great Saturday night out at The Sandcastle (the biggest indoor water-park in Europe; go to www.sandcastle-waterpark.co.uk for details). The Sandcastle is on the newly- refurbished Blackpool promenade, just a five-minute walk from the hotel.

On Sunday morning we’ll be enjoying another first for British Naturism – and maybe a world’s first? – with a trip up Blackpool Tower. We’ll have to be dressed for the trip up the Tower, but once we’re at the top, we’ll be able to strip off to enjoy the fabulous view of the Irish Sea and right across the Lancashire coast. How could you possibly not want to enjoy that?

And in the Sunday afternoon, we’ll be repeating last year’s hugely-successful trip to the Bierkeller. We’ll have exclusive use of the venue and the trip includes coach transfers from the hotel, an Oompah band to swing (and sway?) along to, a free stein of lager and a Bavarian snack.

We are also planning the usual hotel-based entertainment which everyone always enjoys so much at the Bond. This year they include a SOCA Dance Class, Tai Chi, a Quiz and, of course, that famous seaside institution, Bingo.

So how much does it cost? The price for this year’s Blackpool Weekend will be £165 per person; that includes dinner, bed and breakfast, the Sandcastle visit and all the hotel-based entertainment. Please note that this is a flat price; this year, we will not be charging a supplement for non-BN members, or for those coming to the event for the first time. So if you have friends who have never experienced a naturist weekend, why not encourage them to try it this time?

For just £99 per person, these tickets will include three breakfasts and three dinners in the Bond, access to all the hotel-based entertainment and the Sandcastle/ Bierkeller/Tower trips – but you will have to find your own accommodation. There are plenty of good-quality hotels and B&B’s within walking distance of the Bond, so you should be able to find a room for either the two or three nights.

To book, please telephone 01253 341218.

Please clarify prices. £165 is that for a single or shared room? Also is that the total for 3 nights? For those of us from a distance can we stay for the Monday night? If so at what cost? Many thanks for a little more info.

I'm interested and have had the provisional OK from the boss for the dates, but I too would like to stay Monday night and travel back at leisure on Tuesday

(It's a 3 to 4 hour drive back to Cardiff (depending on the state of traffic on the M6/M5 junction) which I don't want to be doing in the dark.

From what I know of hotels they will be unlikey to turn down the booking if they have rooms available; although there maybe an increase in the fee as it will go beyond the block booking.

I have another question is full payment required or is a deposit acceptable?

From what I know of hotels they will be unlikey to turn down the booking if they have rooms available;

We were unable to book extra time last year as they had another event on the Sunday evening and were then closed.

Just contacted them to enquire about staying Monday, but nobody there to answer. Arranged to call again tomorrow night. Watch this space.

What's the situation if you have to leave on the Sunday night (some of us have to work) - would we still have to pay the full 3 nights cost of £165

I'm looking to book this big weekend as we've lost AT, can anyone tell me if there is a room share available for booking this?
