How much does it cost?
The entry price is £10 for adults. Family tickets are available. Towel hire is included. Glasgow Continental is free to Arlington Baths Club members.
The lockers take 20p & £1 coins.

Who can attend?
Holders of the Glasgow Continental Card, members of The Scottish Outdoor Club (SOC), British Naturism (BN) and other recognised naturist organisations including INF-FNI card holders. Members of Arlington Baths Club can attend free.

Visitors, guests and newcomers to the swim are welcome. If you do not hold one of the cards above, you must bring photo ID and proof of address eg passport & utility bill; the EU photo-driving licence covers both.

After your first time, you will need to apply for a Glasgow Continental card for return visits. From 2017, members of BN who attend the swim regularly will be asked to join Glasgow Continental to help contribute towards running costs.

On your first visit, the Arlington Baths Club will ask you to complete a health declaration.

Do I need to be naked?
There is an expectation that adults will be nude when swimming. Children can wear a swimming costume if they wish – although most don’t. You can wear a towel in the other facilities, but again most people don’t.

Will there be other women there?
Yes! Many women attend the swim, either on their own or with friends or family. Just come along - you will receive a warm welcome. Alternatively, contact our Welcoming Women co-ordinator Juliette, email: sanerpro@bn.org.uk

What is the etiquette?
Shower before entering the pool and after using the hot rooms / sauna.
Towels are provided for drying and sitting/lying on.
To preserve others' privacy, phones and photography are not allowed.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits, Sunday newspapers and information about naturist events and holidays are available in the upstairs lounge (complimentary, but donations always welcome). Members meet there for a blether and to catch up on the latest news.
We need to leave the building by 9.00pm.

I like Glasgow Continental, how can I start coming regularly?
Next time you come, bring your ID and one passport-style photograph 15 minutes before the swim starts and you can apply for the Glasgow Continental Card. The card runs April to March and costs £5 per year for adults, £3 for young adults, U26, and fulltime students (proof of age/student status required).
FT students & U26 may gain entry to the swim for £7 each time for the first two months of their membership.
Download a form here: http://www.scotnaturist.freeservers.com/gc-apply2.doc

We recommend you apply to join BN at www.bn.org.uk/membership which gives you the quarterly magazine and many other membership benefits for around £35 per year. Your membership helps to support and promote naturism in the UK.

Perhaps you've never tried nude swimming before but are still a little anxious about it?

Just listen to this short recent BBC SCOTLAND programme about it:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02p8pby

We all remember our first time when we tried social nudity. It only takes 5 minutes flat to get used to it then you'll be won over for a lifetime: it is a liberating, life changing, intensely joyful experience that takes place in a secure, safe environment. Freed from every clothing, you will notice that everyone is amazingly approachable and friendly and best of all never judgemental about others. No one stares at others, eye to eye vision is the norm. Bodies come in all sorts of sizes or shapes so yoursis just as good as everyone elses.

Just give it a go :-)!

I've been to this swim a few times now. It's a long drive from home (about an hour each way) but it is worth the journey for three hours of rest and relaxation in a stunning venue, while enjoying the facilities including steam room, sauna, pool and Turkish suite.

Not entirely sure if it's covered above, but there's also the opportunity to use a (textile) CV-suite and weights room - which makes for a great training evening, followed by a clothes-free cool-down and chill-out...

Look forward to seeing everyone there... 😊
