A planned trip to the nearby Studland beach might be nice depending on the weather or a visit to Bournemouth to see the sights

I asked BN when and how I could book for this event. I was told it would go live on the BN website on 1st August 2017. Jane hasn't managed to book yet or is it sold out and we've both missed it ?

We are just finalising a final few bits before booking goes live - we will update this post and the forum thread as soon as it is available.... Thanks for bearing with us...

Can someone from the South West region clarify when booking for this event will commence.   It was said to be August and today is the 28th so not much of August left.   We greatly enjoyed the event this year and want to make sure we get in for 2018

We are moving to a new booking system which has slowed the process down, that and summer holidays from various members key to the process. We are very close...

Oh yes! I was put off going last year thinking it wouldn't be and ended up regretting it. Went this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Best thing I ever did. Totally changed my life Tony.

Check out the photos in the Bournemouth 2016 and 2017 albums if you can.

The BN photo galleries are only accessible to BN members.

I was told we could telephone BN to register our intent to book and room preference so we wouldn't miss out and the gentleman in the office knew nothing about it. We have been for the last 2 years and loved it. We would hate to miss out this year.

Told by whom?

Judith has posted in the forum to ask people not to 'phone the office whilst they are sorting the booking details.

2 couples, BN members, told us BN have put them on a list for the weekend. I can only go on what I was told.

re - Guest Tony M's comment - I am single and I went last year and it was my first ever BN event - I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned loads about naturism etc.  Yes there are lots of activities laid on and plenty to do, if the weather is nice its only a 20 minute walk into the main town along the cliff walk, which is lovely.

I found everyone there very friendly and there were no hang-ups with me being on my own.

I recommend it to anyone who might be slightly nervous or apprehensive it really helped me to find out that this is the life for me.

Hello, not seen any more details about this, even though we've booked and it's THIS WEEKEND!

Have we missed something?

And I have a half-memory of hearing that costumes have to be worn in the sauna / spa - is this true?

The programme link is in the forum thread about the event. As for costumes, the spa area is in the next door hotel. There is a very confusing sentenced in the programme regarding clothing that is the subject of a few posts but, sadly, there has been no clarification.

As far as I recall the swimming pool in the hotel next door is available to use and I seem to recall a cozzie is required.
Also you are required to be dressed to go to the hotel next door.

Baz has mentioned a spa within the Ocean Beach hotel but I do not know if that requires wearing of a cozzie.

The Ocean Beach Hotel has a spa which can be used, but is open to the public, so you will need to wear a swimming costume for the spa and treatments.

The Swimming Pool in the hotel next door can be used, but you will need to dress to walk over to the hotel and wear a swimming costume in the pool.

Many thanks

As there was so much confusion over the date that this year's event booking was to open (while not your fault per se, regular updates would have been good instead of a post that, loosely translated, says 'Wahey, we're finally ready; don't get trampled in the rush' lol), whether or not 'intent to book' or no 'intent to book' lists (that was the question! :D) actually existed, questions regarding the spa and pool - textile or 'free-from'?, etc. I gave up checking, and therefore missed out!

I see from the 2018 programme .pdf that the 2019 event has been brought forward to the last weekend in January (brrr!), and is also at a different venue (that has it's own pool, so no cozzies required, yay!), so, despite the wintry weather on the UK South coast in January, I'd like to officially register my intent to book for the 2019 event.

Apologies if I'm jumping the gun a bit, especially when you bear in mind that check-in for this year hasn't even opened yet (3pm this afternoon; only 5 more hours to go, you lucky people), but it's only 347 days away, and my number 1 resolution this year is to PLAN AHEAD and to be a bit more organised. Plus I'll only have to stash away £1.50 a day (before anyone remarks that it isn't as much as that, I'd just like to mention that I'm including fares & incidentals in my calculation; I did pass CSE Maths) to pay for it...that's less than the many and varied extortionate chains charge for a coffee - win/win!
