THE BODY IMAGE SHOW

PRIOR TO A RUN AT THE EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL 2018
THIS IS A ONE–OFF LONDON PERFORMANCE AT STOCKWELL PLAYHOUSE
AND IT’S CLOTHING OPTIONAL FOR THE AUDIENCE!
Yes, for one performance only – we welcome the audience to dress or undress as they please. This will be a ‘clothing optional’ performance in celebration of the naked form.
Come as you are! Fully dressed, partially dressed or completely naked – you choose.
Too fat? Too thin? Never exercise? Gym crazy? Hate (or love) how you look in the nude? Then this comedy revue is for YOU! Nowadays we are on social media 24/7 - and there has never been such emphasis on how we look. Supermodels preen on every poster and David Gandy grins on every magazine cover. And we all think – “I don’t look like that! HELP”
Body image, dieting, plastic surgery, the gym, dating apps, and the agony of trying to look good in a selfie.
‘SKIN DEEP’ is a musical revue addressing all these body image insecurities. Diana and her four boys sing, dance and joke their way through a celebration of (and for) every body.

Notes about the show
Please help spread the word about “SKIN DEEP” to your friends and family and via all Social Media Platforms!
“SKIN DEEP” is currently on tour in the UK but now coming to London for one performance only – and this performance, on point with the message of the show, will be CLOTHING OPTIONAL FOR THE AUDIENCE.
“Skin Deep” is all about self-image, body confidence, bullying, marketing, cosmetic surgery, inner demons, shopping for clothes, size’ism, self-worth, diets, weight, exercise. Song and dance sketches – comedy but with an underlying poignant message!
Who hasn’t tried a lifestyle change, or attempted some potentially harmful technique in order to “improve” when in reality they’re already beautifully unique and wonderful? Who really acknowledges their inner beauty already outshines the naked surface?
Our boys in the show lead upto their famous naked finale where they feel empowered to strip off to celebrate their body confidence. It’s the Full Monty, but the lights stay on for just that little bit longer!
It’s only natural that a show such as “Skin Deep” with songs such as “Does my Bum Look Big in this”, “Size doesn’t matter”, “Let it all hang out”, and “Love me for Who I Am” would welcome and encourage an audience to be self-confident, empowered to be who they really are, and feel 100% comfortable to watch the show sat in their own skin!
We’re all beautiful and we shouldn’t hide or feel ashamed of who we are!
Come join us to unashamedly celebrate who we are!
There is a Discount code for BN Members of BN to get £3 off per ticket!!!!

27 April 2018 20:30 21:45
This event repeats every week on Friday forever
Note: This swim changed both time and venue at the end of 2016 because the council is closing the original pool.
From 6th January 2017, the swimming sessions take place every Friday evening at the Meadway Sport Centre in Tilehurst, Reading. Assemble between 20:30 and 20:45 at the pool. Please ask staff to let you though the barrier and direct you to the meeting location. Swimming is between 20:45 and 21:45, and the building closes at 22:00.
The pool is run by Reading Borough Council and they provide the lifeguards. It is 20 metres long, with a shallow end (1m) and deep end (1.3m). There are male and female changing rooms and free lockers are available pool side.
There is a large car park at the sports centre which is free up to one hour and £1 for up to two hours. These parking restrictions are strictly enforced by number-plate recognition cameras and pool staff cannot override the system. Payments should be made at the machine at the entrance.
The annual membership fee is £10 for singles and £18 for couples. Membership runs for one year from the date of joining.
The cost is £4.50 per session for club members, £5.50 for non-members.
