    DAY

    Sat 05 Sep 2020      Sat 19 Sep 2020

This is a two-week holiday sailing in the beautiful scenery of the coast of Croatia.  It is based on self-chartered boats, each with a BN member as skipper.  Each boat is free to do its own thing, to choose where to go and what to do, and to meet up with the other boats if and when they wish to.   This year we did meet up quite a lot, and the whole group had a lot of fun together.  If you haven't seen my blog about our latest trip (Croatia 2019), do have a look.  It shows the sort of things that happened, and gives an indication of the typical cost involved.  Contact hutton.jim@gmail.com

Nudefest 2020 CANCELLED due to Covid-19
➡️In place of Nudefest 7-14 September 2020, Thorney Lakes Campsite will be opening their site for naturist use. Booking is through their dedicated booking page only:
                              www.thorneylakes.co.uk/nf                    password: Nude20
➡️Nudefest 2021 is expected to take place 5 - 12 July 2021, also at Thorney Lakes Campsite, near Langport, Somerset TA10 0DW

    Old news...
Nudefest 2020 will again be held at Thorney Lakes Campsite near Langport in Somerset.
The team are working to provide another fantastic festival with many activities which are old favourites (think yoga, pilates, archery, clay pigeon shooting, craft, 5/10K run and meet and greets to name but a few) and new ones too.
Thanks to liaison with the Somerset Tourist Office we have secured a visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum. This will come with the option to have a buffet under the wings of Concorde 002, the first British Concorde.
We will also welcome back the mobile climbing wall which was so popular in 2019 - if you missed out in previously or want to perfect your technique you will have another opportunity in 2020.
Keep an eye on the Forum and the nudefest.co.uk website when it relaunches for the 2020 event. Booking is available on the BN Events website and we'll be sure to let you know here too.
Discussion about the 2020 edition of Nudefest can be found here:
On your marks - the booking line GOES LIVE AT 0900 ON 1 DECEMBER 2019. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

    Sun 13 Sep 2020 11:00      13:00

This event repeats every week on Sunday until 20/12/20

Naturist London is a group of volunteers whose aim is to promote drop-in, inclusive naturist events in London with administrative support from BN. The regular Sunday Swim is our signature event and extremely popular. It is just like going to an ordinary public swimming pool except that costumes are banished. Unlike many traditional naturist venues, there is no booking, no membership and no commitment. You are welcome to just turn up whether or not you consider yourself a committed naturist.
Approximately once a month, BN member Emma James comes along to help with the swim and coordinate a pre-swim meet up for ladies. She also plans to organise, less frequently, an extended social programme around the swim to make a "day out in London" for those who have to travel some distance. You can contact Emma and get more details by following this link to the Naturist London Ladies Zone.
We look forward to seeing you at Naturist London. Further details can be found here.
    Location
University of London Student Central, Malet St, Bloomsbury, WC1E 7HY

    Fri 11 Sep 2020 14:00      Thu 17 Sep 2020 09:00

Cancellation of The Gathering 2020 Due to Proposed Company Voluntary Agreement of Hart Hotels Ltd.
We wanted to update you on the situation relating to The Gathering 2020, following a number of important developments over the last week.
We have been informed that by Hart Hotels Limited (the owners of the Glenmorag Hotel in Dunoon where The Gathering is held) that they feel unable to continue to operate their business and as such intend to enter into a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) under the terms of the Insolvency Act.  This is at least partly due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We have also become aware that the Glenmorag Hotel has been closed with immediate effect and has been placed on the market for sale by Hart Hotels Limited. As such, there is no prospect that The Gathering will go ahead as planned in September 2020 and that it is highly unlikely that we would be able to transfer the event to an alternative venue this year.
As such, we have no option but to cancel The Gathering in 2020.
We’re sure that you will be as disappointed as we are by this development. There’s no doubt that The Gathering has become a very special event in recent years, and we’re committed to finding a new home for the event in 2021.
We are also aware that many people will have paid either a deposit or a full balance to the Glenmorag Hotel for the event which will not now go ahead.
If you have made a payment in relation to this event, you should have received a communication from Johnston Carmichael, the insolvency practitioners appointed by Hart Hotels Limited. This describes the process that Hart Hotels Limited intend to follow and the consequences of this process for the recovery of any money that you might have paid for the event.
We suggest that you review this document and consider how you want to proceed. You may also wish to seek advice from a solicitor or from the Citizens Advice Bureau.
If you have not received this communication and have made a payment to the Glenmorag Hotel for the Gathering 2020 you should contact the Glasgow office of Johnston Carmichael (www.jcca.co.uk) quoting reference DMN/MPH/JSS/HART003.
You may also wish to consider your options under the relevant consumer protection legislation, specifically section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act for payments by credit card and the chargeback schemes operated by banks for payments by debit cards.
We cannot provide advice directly as to the action that you should take at this time, and this email is not intended to provide advice or recommend any course of action.
Many thanks for your support for The Gathering, and your understanding of this unfortunate development.
