Join us for an 8-9 mile naturist walk starting at/returning to Cottered, Hertfordshire, in the Old Bourne Valley.  Friday 17th September 2021,  12.30pm to 5.00pm.
The walk is mainly flat passing through grassland, agricultural fields and open countryside.  The circular route follows a network of public footpaths, then an old roman road before heading back to the start point across more open countryside.
The event is being organised by British Naturism Eastern Region in association with the Milton Keynes Naturist Meet and Greet Group.  It is open to all members of British Naturism and other naturist (walking) groups; anyone new to naturism or to naturist walking is welcome too.  When booking, please state whether you are a member of BN or other naturist groups.
For further information or to book onto this event, please contact Andrew Roch or Amanda, Walks Coordinator, via email: easternwalks@bn.org.uk giving your name, mobile phone number and membership status.  Details of the meeting point and other information will be provided when your booking is confirmed.

    THIS EVENT IS NOW CANCELLED

    Normans Bay naturist beach
    Date and time:
    17 Sep 2021, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
    Meeting point:
If you use What3words.com then we will give a briefing at ///trapdoor.clerk.decide before walking 250m to ///apricot.duplicity.tides The first is the top of the steps at the end of Herbrand Walk, Cooden, Bexhill-on-Sea and the second is just after the river outflow on the beach west from the steps.
We cleaned the beach in 2018 and 2019. In summer it is used as a naturist beach and some of our members come here. If the weather is warm then we will clean the beach naked.
Please bring robust shoes and plastic or gardening gloves. We have a couple of litter pickers, a bucket for glass and a first aid kit. Please bring you own water, sunscreen, hat etc.
A skinny dip may be possible after the cleaning.
The results from the beach itself will be sent to the Marine Conservation Society to be compiled into their annual report.
    Also worth knowing…
What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).
What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.
Under 16s: To comply with our insurance, volunteers under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult who will be asked to sign a parental / guardian consent form on the day by the beach clean organiser.
