Event details

Friday 13th July at 18:30 - "Bare All for Polar Bears", a naked fun run of 800 metres at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster. This event will raise funds for Polar Bear conservation at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

From the Report on the "Bare All for Polar Bears" event in 2017:

From humble beginnings, this event is now an established fixture in the Yorkshire Wildlife Park Calendar. For the first time registrations had passed the 100 mark. The weather conditions were not that warm during the day, but prior to the run starting a thermometer registered 21 Celsius – certainly warm enough for the runners. At this event the naturists are obvious – they’re the ones not bothering with the foil blankets at the start.

For the uninitiated, the idea is to raise sponsorship money and run round an 800 metre course past the polar bear enclosure.  It's a great intro to social nudity, great fun and a lovely way to raise money for a good cause!

You may know that the polar bear is on the endangered animals list owing to shrinking sea ice in the Arctic.

People are encouraged to register, to raise sponsorship money in aid of conservation of Polar Bears and to complete an 800 metre course past the Polar Bear enclosure at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster.
