Lowestoft & Great Yarmouth Area:

2nd Naturist Meet & Greet

Following the success of our first Meet & Greet in July 2018, we are organising another one. The main purpose is to allow local naturists to get to know each other in a social setting, namely over a pub-lunch. This is a non-naturist event in a public place.

There will also be chance to discuss:

·        Expanding the ‘catchment area’ to the Suffolk and Norfolk Coastal region and going forward as ‘SANC.MAG’, with a website and blog.

·        Progress on establishing a local pool-swim.

·        Organising local naturist events.

This meetup is open to BN members and non-members alike.

Date:      Saturday 1st September 2018

Time:      12 noon to 2 pm.

Venue:   The White Horse Inn, 47 The Street, Corton, Lowestoft. NR32 5HP

This is a nice village pub with parking for about 15 cars. Seating both inside & outside. Serving good food & bar snacks. Kiddies play area. Additional parking nearby at the Sports Ground.
See Trip Advisor: ‘The White Horse Lowestoft’ or website:

Follow-on: Corton Beach. 2 pm onwards. This is a ‘clothes optional’ event.

There will not be any organised ‘Sun & Games’ this time, but groups may want to go to the beach on an ad-hoc basis as it is so close by. Corton Beach (a.k.a. Gunton Sands) is about ¾ of a mile south of the pub, on the coastal part of the B1385 (Corton Road) between Corton and Lowestoft.  [MapCode: GBR YSQ.ZT0    GridRef: TM 547 965]

There is a free public car park just opposite the beach, on the west side of the road. It has a 2.1 m height restriction. There are signs at the entrance saying, 'Dip Farm Pitch and Put'. [MapCode: GBR YSQ.ZC9   GridRef: TM 54570 96323].

To get to the meetup area, cross the road, walk down the concrete path onto the beach and turn left walking for about 200 yards. There are no markers on the beach to identify a ‘naturist area’ as naturism is permitted on all beaches in the Waveney District Council area (i.e. Corton to Southwold).

More information on this beach can be found on the British Naturism (BN) website at: https://www.bn.org.uk/activities/placestogo/beaches/gunton-sands-corton-beach-r78/.
