Event details

We're back!

Swims take place in Sheffield  at King Edward's Swimming Pool, Sheffield.

The pool address is :-

King Edward's Swimming Pool,
Clarkehouse Road
Sheffield
S10 2LB

what3words: hunt.poker.crops

For details of the pool please see their website ( http://kesp.co.uk/ )  It is an unusual pool, being 30m long with two shallow ends, somewhat deeper in the middle but still easy to stand. The water temperature in November was 31.1 Celsius.

There is some street parking,  Outside of school hours we can also park for free in the school staff car park adjacent, should the gates be closed they can be opened if you know the code of #5111 The hashtag is important. Without it the gates won't budge. . There are two entrances:  I'd suggest the Glossop Road entrance is the one to use.

For those arriving by public transport the pool is very close to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and is served by the 120 bus, the closest tram  stop is the University of Sheffield.

If you are hungry/thirsty there is a Wetherspoon's ( The Francis Newton ) virtually opposite.

For location see Google Maps - the pool is near the centre:-

The swims will normally take place on the third Sunday of the month, from 1530 to 17.00. Cost will be £7 ( BN/INF, cards to be shown ) or £10 otherwise. The pool does not have lockers and swimmers are advised to bring a bag for their clothes/possessions and to take them poolside as the secure cloakroom will not  be staffed.

Numbers for the November Swim were low. If this swim is to continue, then please make the effort to attend.
