2020 AGM - Sunday 4th October - 1pm-4pm
We have been exploring two ambitions for the 2020 AGM.  The first was that we would be able to welcome people to Sunfolk and hold our naturist AGM in our brand-new naturist location.  The second was that the AGM should be more accessible to more members so we can all engage with our organisation.
COVID-19 continues to impose restrictions and, as things stand, holding the event at Sunfolk would mean capping the numbers and most likely holding it outdoors.  Happily, difficulties in one area provide opportunities in another and we have taken the decision that for the first time ever the British Naturism AGM will be held on a digital platform.  The success of our Online Events means we are confident that this will work, and it creates an enormous opportunity as it means members can attend from all across the country and indeed beyond.
Voting and the AGM
Following the success of online voting for the election of posts we will use electronic voting for AGM motions.  Details of motions will be released in due course and we expect that it will be possible to keep voting open into the meeting so any discussion can be heard.  Paper voting forms will still be available by request from general.secretary@bn.org.uk
Registration
The meeting will be held on the Zoom platform, with which you are familiar.  Booking is available here and is of course free of charge.
https://bookwhen.com/bnonline/e/ev-sl96-20201004130000
Programme
In addition to the business of the AGM, we want to use this opportunity to present some of the activities of the year.  President, Mark Bass, will give a State of the Nation address to review the actions and successes of the year.  Vice Chair, Jon Williams, will present details of the work being done at Sunfolk so people know what has happened and gain a vision of the future.  Perhaps most importantly, we want to dedicate a large chunk of time to a Question & Answer session, chaired by International Director, Edwin Kilby.  This is an opportunity to ask questions of the leadership and fill in gaps in knowledge.
The specifics of the programme may change, but the approximate timetable at the moment is:
13.00    AGM
14.00    Awards of Certificates of Merit
14.30    State of the Nation Presentation
14.50    Sunfolk Presentation
15.10    Q+A
16.00    Close
Q+A
The session will be chaired by Edwin Kilby, but questions can be directed toward any of the leadership and will be answered by the person best suited.
Spontaneous questions on the day will of course be welcome, but the session will be more constructive and the answers more accurate if we know questions in advance.  If you have a question in mind before the meeting, please submit it to general.secretary@bn.org.uk and when you join the session ensure that your screen name matches the name on the question.  On the day, Edwin will invite you to ask your question.  It is of course fine if there is some deviation from the submitted question, the aim is to group questions on a similar theme and avoid having to bypass questions because we don’t have an answer.
We hope that everybody will join us on the day.

We're having a one-off workshop next Tuesday 6th October, and if you have some experience of the yoga method I teach, you will be very welcome to join.

The workshop will gradually progress through a series of nourishing and energising standing postures that form part of Vinyasa Nixisya.

The workshop costs £29.  I'm including more details about the workshop below.   This Vinyasa Nixisya workshop, requires quite a bit more experience of the yoga method I teach, so if you doubt whether it will be suitable for you, just ask and I'll be happy to advise you.

If you would like to book for the Vinyasa Nixitsya  Workshop just sent me an email! (at nakedyogalondon@gmail.com)

An energising workshop exploring a progressive series of varied standing postures.  Time will be spent to prepare the body for the Nixisya standing postures, through a sensitive xandra/surya-namaska practice, and there will also be time at the end for inversion and savasana.   This workshop is most suitable for people who have attended both the Foundation and Level 2 Courses with me and feel comfortable with those practices,  if this is not the case, just send an email to ask and we can work out if the workshop will be suitable for you

Practical Details;

Booking is made in advance (as the workshops are likely to fill up) and your place is confirmed upon payment, which is usually made by bank transfer.   Alternate advance payment methods can be discussed if a transfer is difficult for you for any reason.

In case of cancellation full course cost may be refunded less £5 for Individual workshop bookingup until 2 days before the workshop or series is due to commence, after this date no refund nor transfer is available.

In case absence, an audio recording of the specific class may be provided if advance notice is given, which would include the complete audio sound track for you to do the class in your own time, this will be available for you to do for at least 1 month after the workshop takes place.

Please feel welcome to be in touch if you have any questions not covered by the above information, or on the website, or if you would like to book.

By booking you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.

I hope to see you!

There is now a membership charge to cover the cost of insurance for the year. The fee of £5.00 is good for Naturist Ramblers (longer walks) and Stark Trekkers (shorter walks). One fee covers both.

How do the Live Online Courses work?

The live online courses will work in a very similar way to the 'in person' courses you may have attended with me, in that you will be able to see me and any introductions, presentations and demonstrations I offer, and I will be able to see and guide you, offering any tips and corrections.

My teaching, as many of you know is primarily given through verbal instruction so you can focus on your own practice, although as usual I will be offering demonstrations when needed.

The platform we will be using is Zoom.  This is very easy to use, and you don't need a very high capacity internet connection to participate. (I'll tell you how you can check if yours is ok in a moment...).

Once your booking is confirmed, a few days before the course, you will receive an invite from me, which will contain a private link and a password to access the 'meeting'.  If you haven't used Zoom already, once you click on the link there will be a prompt to download and run Zoom which will take about a minute, you will only need to do that the first time before entering the meeting.

The access to the class courses will be strictly limited to those who have joined and places on the course, as usual, will be strictly limited, so there won't be too many people for me to watch and guide well.

I will be leaving the choice as to whether to be naked or not, to each participant to decide individually.  This is the opportunity for you to practice yoga naked in a secure respectful online group, and most people will be mainly focussing on their own practice, but I do understand that some people may feel different with it being an online class than in a physical group so that decision is completely your own.

I as the teacher will have my screen equally divided between all participants, in 'gallery view' so I can see all participants equally and give guidance and tips while teaching.   As attendees you will be able to 'pin' my image to have my image as your full screen while you are doing the class.

I will open the meeting 15 minutes before the class is due to begin, to give time for people to arrive, relax and settle, say hello if they want, and to make sure their mat/computer etc is in the right place, although you are also very welcome just to relax, lie down and meditation in preparation for the class.  I will also hang around afterwards  for around 10 minutes if any one wants to chat or ask questions, but you are equally free to just leave and get on with your day.

For the class you will need;
A yoga mat - if you're doing the practice on a hard floor I would suggest buying a fairly thick one, or two basic mats.  On a carpet a less substantial mat is fine.  You can buy them online in many places.  www.yogamatters.com has a good selection - make sure it will arrive on time. A laptop or computer with a webcam (or a separate webcam you can attach), and Ipad is fine, even a smartphone, and also built in speakers, (or speakers you can attach)  An average speed internet connection, zoom advises that for most computers the system requirements are; 800kbps/1.0Mbps (up/down) for high quality video. For gallery view and/or 720p HD video: 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down) Receiving 1080p HD video requires 2.5mbps (up/down) Sending 1080p HD video requires 3.0 Mbps (up/down) You can check what your own speed internet very quickly and easily at the broadband speed check at; https://broadbandtest.which.co.uk/  if you'd like to make sure before you enrol. Enough space in your home to place your mat and your laptop/camera so that your mat is at the bottom of the screen and if you stand up you can see all of you and some space above your head.
The Level 2 Course Content

The Level 2 Course, is generally suitable for people who have completed the Foundation Course, or have fairly good experience of the Dynamic Yoga Method as taught by Godfrey Devereux, or  alternatively substantial experience of another good yoga practice and meditation, and good body awareness.  If in doubt if the course is suitable for you, just send me an email to ask.

To read more in detail about the course content and the nature of the
yoga please check out our website  http://www.nakedyogalondon.co.uk/classes/

The cost for the 4 week Foundation course is £75.

It also may be possible occasionally to book for experienced people  1,2 or 3 of the classes at a rate of £29 per class subject to availability.  Priority is given to those who want to attend the full course.

Booking is made in advance (as the course is likely to fill up) and your place is confirmed upon payment, which is usually made by bank transfer.   Alternate advance payment methods can be discussed if a transfer is difficult for you for any reason.

In case of cancellation full course cost may be refunded less £10 up until 2 days before the course is due to commence, after this date no refund nor transfer is available.

In case absence, an audio recording of the specific class may be provided if advance notice is given, which would include the complete audio sound track for you to do the class in your own time, and preferably by the following week.

Please feel welcome to be in touch if you have any questions not covered by the above information, or on the website, or if you would like to book. The best way to contact or book is via email on nakedyogalondon@gmail.com

For the class you will need;

By booking you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully to seeing you soon.

Warmest wishes,

Annette

Due to popular demand, I am launching a new class!

For all of you who can't make it on Mondays, or who would prefer the Clapham Junction location, or who find the 7pm time more convenient. Now you have a new chance to practice Naked Yoga with me!

What: Co-Ed Naked Yoga Class £17 When: Every Wednesday @7pm (60 min class)
Where: Clapham Junction The full address will be given upon booking. Booking: Email me at namaste@doriayoga.com   Is a mixed-gender class though no specific gender balance, either way, can be guaranteed, nor is aimed for.
All level of practitioners are welcome from complete beginners to more experienced, you will work at your own pace, following the teacher's verbal guidance. Asana (postures) options will be provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Yoga mats will be arranged in a horseshoe or circular pattern around the teacher so that each person faces the teacher but is not looking directly at other people – and nobody is behind you.
Please bring your mat, if you don't have a mat you can borrow one at the venue but a towel needs to be placed on top for protection.
If you find that you sweat a lot please bring 2 towels as the mat can't be left wet after use, for any reason, and the studio is particularly warm during the practice.
- If you are looking to buy a very light foldable mat that you can easily put in your bag or backpack, please find below a very good option in different colours and styles. https://amzn.to/2S5ceHt
- Instead, if you prefer a standard mat, I highly recommend this https://amzn.to/2AqZzIa
The venue will be comfortably heated, I suggest to bring a bottle of water to the class.
There is no shower facility.
You must be over 18 years of age to attend any mixed-gender class.
Photography, staring and all physical contacts are strictly prohibited.
Sounds like a plan? Then book asap, as it will be fully booked for sure.
To book your spot email me at namaste@doriayoga.com

The regular Sunday Swim is our signature event and extremely popular. It is just like going to an ordinary public swimming pool except that costumes are banished. Unlike many traditional naturist venues, there is no booking, no membership and no commitment. You are welcome to just turn up whether or not you consider yourself a committed naturist.
Approximately once a month, BN member Emma James comes along to help with the swim and coordinate a pre-swim meet up for ladies. She also plans to organise, less frequently, an extended social programme around the swim to make a "day out in London" for those who have to travel some distance. You can contact Emma and get more details by following this link to the Naturist London Ladies Zone.
We look forward to seeing you at Naturist London. Further details can be found here.

This event repeats every week on Monday until 28/12/20

The session is a 90 minutes Vinyasa yoga class at £25 per person and will be held every Monday in a studio located at only 5 minutes walking distance from Clapham North Underground Station from 6:15 to 7:45pm the full address will be given upon booking.
To book your spot email me at namaste@doriayoga.com Is a mixed-gender class though no specific gender balance, either way, can be guaranteed, nor is aimed for.
All level of practitioners are welcome from complete beginners to more experienced, you will work at your own pace, following the teacher's verbal as well as hands-on guidance.
?? If you are looking to buy a very light foldable mat that you can easily put in your bag or backpack, please find below a very good option in different colours and styles. https://amzn.to/2S5ceHt ?? Instead, if you prefer a standard mat, I highly recommend this https://amzn.to/2AqZzIa     The venue will be comfortably heated, I suggest to bring a bottle of water to the class.
A shower downstairs is available for use after class. Please bring your own towel.
You must be over 18 years of age to attend any mixed-gender class.
Photography, staring and all physical contacts are strictly prohibited (except that your instructor may assist you into, out of, or to improve a posture), please let your teacher know if you don't want to be adjusted at the beginning of the class.

For the class you will need;

By booking you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.

Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully to seeing you soon.

Warmest wishes,
