A hidden gem in the High Weald of Sussex, High Beeches is a botanical treasure trove planted with many rare trees and shrubs.
There is much to see at every season: In spring the magnolias and camellias are under planted with swathes of daffodils and the woodland glades and vistas are,in early summer, carpeted with bluebells and filled with the colour and fragrance of the many rhododendrons and azaleas.
In June the ancient natural acid wildflower meadow is a spectacular sight and in August the willow gentians flourish here, the only garden in the country where they are naturalized. Autumn brings a glorious display of colour provided by the many nyssas, liquidambers and maples.
This is the second of three visits scheduled for this year. It is open to all naturists, not just BN members. It is ideal for anyone new to naturism.
Admission charge is  £8.50. (Contactless preferred or exact cash please). Ice creams and soft drinks available. No booking - just turn up.  Further information from 07486 424068   Visit  https://www.highbeeches.com/

Join us for a 7 mile naturist walk starting at/returning to North Marston, Buckinghamshire, through parts of Aylesbury Vale with fantastic panoramic views of the Chilterns and North Buckinghamshire from the top of Quainton Hill, on Friday 6 August 2021, 12.30pm to 5.30pm.
The walk is mainly flat, with some low to moderate hills, passing through grassland, agricultural fields and open countryside, with stunning views of Aylesbury Vale, the Chilterns and North Buckinghamshire from the top of Quainton Hill.  Although the hill is long, with a good path, it is not too steep.  The circular route follows a network of public footpaths including Matthew’s Way, Midshires Way, Swan’s Way and the North Buckinghamshire Way before heading back to the start point across open countryside.
The event is being organised by British Naturism Eastern Region in association with the Milton Keynes Naturist Meet and Greet Group.  It is open to all members of British Naturism and other naturist (walking) groups; anyone new to naturism or to naturist walking is welcome too.  When booking, please state whether you are a member of BN or other naturist groups.
You must be fit enough to walk up to seven miles, including moderate hills.  You should NOT attend if you have any Coronavirus symptoms or need to self-isolate because a member of your household has symptoms or if you have been asked to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone who has symptoms.
For further information or to book onto this event, please contact Andrew Roch or Amanda, Walks Coordinator, via email: easternwalks@bn.org.uk giving your name, mobile phone number and membership status.  Details of the meeting point and other information will be provided when your booking is confirmed.

Knepp is a 3,500 acre estate just south of Horsham, West Sussex. Since 2001, the land – once intensively farmed - has been devoted to a pioneering rewilding project. Using grazing animals as the drivers of habitat creation, and with the restoration of dynamic, natural water courses, the project has seen extraordinary increases in wildlife. Extremely rare species like turtle doves, nightingales, peregrine falcons and purple emperor butterflies are now breeding here; and populations of more common species are rocketing.
The vision of the Knepp Wildland Project is radically different to conventional nature conservation in that it is not driven by specific goals or target species. Instead, its driving principle is to establish a functioning ecosystem where nature is given as much freedom as possible. The aim is to show how a ‘process-led’ approach can be a highly effective, low-cost method of ecological restoration - suitable for failing or abandoned farmland - that can work to support established nature reserves and wildlife sites, helping to provide the webbing that will one day connect them together on a landscape scale.
Join us on a guided walking tour and experience the profusion of birds, mammals, butterflies, beetles, reptiles, plants and fungi in a setting that feels as wild and dynamic as the African bush. Exploring Knepp on foot gives you the greatest opportunity to soak up the sounds and sights of the rewilding project. Heading into the wildland at a gentle pace, you will have plenty of time to take in our astonishing wildlife – from herds of free-roaming longhorn cattle, red and fallow deer, Exmoor ponies and Tamworth pigs, to delicate butterflies and dragonflies.
Walking will be for 2½-3 hours, with frequent stops to look at wildlife. You’ll need a moderate level of fitness and be able to cope with walking on uneven ground.
Please note that this will be a naturist event and has been arranged by East Sussex Naturists.
The cost is £40.00 per person. Please book direct with ESN at esnaturists@gmail.com.

Following a very successful evening in summer 2020, we’re delighted that Sophie and her team will be hosting further naturist evenings in 2021
Two evenings have been planned in June and August - both of these events are organised by Houghton Lodge themselves for BN members and for other naturists
The gardens will be open exclusively for naturists during these events
The cost for entry will by £9 payable on the door - cash is preferred, but the gardens will also accept cards. There is no need to pre-book online for this event
We expect the cafe and terrace to be open throughout the evening, subject if course to whatever COVID restrictions are in place at the time
If you haven’t visited the gardens before, they are a delightful mix of more formal areas together with paths leading down to the river Test, lawns and wooded areas. You can find our more about the gardens by visiting their website Here
If you have any questions about this event, please contact Jon Williams at jon.williams@bn.org.uk

As this date is a bank holiday weekend, the road outside the garden can get busy at times resulting in stationary traffic.
The garden owners have requested that visitors remain in the garden whilst undressed and dont congregate in the cafe courtyard where you can be seen from the road.
There are toilet facilities in the cafe courtyard which can be used for changing, or you can get changed in the garden. The carpark and plant nursery areas are very visible from the main road so please remain dressed in those areas.
Goltho Gardens is a lovely place to wander around naked, so I hope to see you there
Regards
Chris

Join BN for an evening cruise along the Dorset coast, ahead of the bank holiday weekend
We'll cast off from Bournemouth Pier on the Dorset Belle, and will have three hours on board to make the most of the (hopefully) great summer evening weather
The bar will be open for us on board throughout the evening and there will be an option to join to order fish and chips (or something else if you fancy) for an extra cost in advance
We'll have exclusive use of the boat throughout the cruise, so whilst you'll need to remain dressed to board and disembark, you'll be free to be naked as soon as we have cast off
The cruise will cost £21 for BN members, and £26.50 for non-members
We've scheduled the evening to coincide with the August bank holiday week, the NKD festival and the BN visit to Splashdown in Poole - why not combine a couple of events with a trip to the naturist beach at Studland for a weekend of naturism?
Tickets for the event are available from the regional events section of the BN Shop. This Link should take you straight to the booking page
If you need any more information, or have any questions please email the event organiser Jon Williams at jon.williams@bn.org.uk

Subway: The baths are a short walk from St George's Cross subway station. The Subway closes at 6.10pm on Sundays, so you would need to plan an alternative for your return journey.
Cycle: The nearest Nextbike stations are at St George's Cross and University of Glasgow (East). There is cycle parking opposite the Arlington Baths Club (Sheffield-type stands). You can also lock your bike to the railings at the baths.

View Openstreetmap here.

How much does it cost?
The entry price is £10 for adults over 25 years old, £7 for 18-25 and students over 18 (evidence of status required) by PayPal through your membermojo account. Towel & sauna sheet hire is included. The Sunday Swim is free to Arlington Baths Club members.
The lockers take 20p & £1 coins.

Who can attend?
Holders of the The Sunday Swim card.
Members of Arlington Baths Club can attend free.
Visitors, guests and newcomers to the swim are welcome, but must contact us in advance. It's unlikely that we would be able to accept you at less than two weeks' notice. If you do not hold one of the cards above, you must bring photo ID and proof of address eg passport & utility bill; the EU photo-driving licence covers both.
At your first visit, you will need to complete a health form for The Arlington Baths Club, which will be retained by them, and a registration form for The Sunday Swim. We expect you to purchase a swim card on your return visit. This also applies to members of BN. The swim card is valid for the year April to March inclusive. Renewals due by April.

Do I need to be naked?
There is an expectation that you will be nude when swimming. You can wear a towel in the other facilities, but again most people don’t. Towels/sheets must be worn when walking in corridors, the public rooms downstairs and upstairs.

Will there be other women there?
Many women attend the swim, either on their own or with a partner or friends. Just come along - you'll receive a warm welcome.

What is the etiquette?
Shower before entering the pool and after using the hot rooms / sauna.
Towels are provided for drying and sitting/lying on.
To preserve others' privacy, phones and photography are not allowed.
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits are available in the upstairs lounge (complimentary, but donations always welcome.) Members meet there for a blether and to catch up on the latest news.
The building is locked at 9.30pm, so please aim to leave by 9.15pm.

I like The Sunday Swim. How can I start coming regularly?
Next time you come, bring your ID and one passport-style photograph 15 minutes before the swim starts and you can apply for a swim card. The card runs for 12 months from the date of joining and costs £10 per year for adults over 25, £5 for 18-25, and full-time students over 18 (proof of age/student status required).
FT students & U26 may gain entry to the swim for £7 each time for the first two months of their membership.

What other facilities are available?
Clothed use of the gym (you will need an induction first by the baths staff.)
Naked Yoga - beginners' and improvers' classes (booking required, additional fee.)

Potteries Naturist Swimming Club
We are a friendly club, open to all naturists over 18. Why not give it a try - swim and relax in a pleasant, friendly environment. A naturist swim is just like using any other public pool, but without costumes. The same standard of behaviour is required as would be expected at a conventional public swim.
We are a member club of British Naturism.
We meet on alternate Sundays at:
Jubilee Baths,
Nelson Place,
Newcastle under Lyme
Staffs., ST5 1HG.
From 19:30 to 20:30
Club weblink:
https://sites.google.com/site/thepotteriesswim/home

Notice Board:
Swims have now restarted, alternate Sundays from 19:30 - 20:30. (Note shorter time than previously). Entrance charges have been reduced to reflect the reduction in facilities -- they will be further reviewed at the next AGM.
Some covid-19 measures remain in place:-
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the session starts. The café area is currently a "staff-only" area, so please gather outside the School Street entrance.
At the end of the session, please be ready to depart promptly -- by 20:40. This is to give the staff time to clean before they leave.
Use of face coverings in the reception area, stairwells and corridors is encouraged and hand sanitiser will be available for use.
Prior to the relaxing of restrictions on 19th July, the number of pool users was restricted to 9 -- too few to make swims viable. Following relaxation of the covid-19 restrictions, maximum occupancy is 40.
Only the smaller, 12m pool is available - the fitness equipment is no longer in place. The pool itself due to its depth is NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.
The sauna suite no longer exists.
There may be changes to the entrance charges in due course, depending on numbers attending. More details will be posted when known.
(Visitors, please bring ID or BN card).
