  • Great British Skinny Dip

Naturism is great for your health and well-being – our skin benefits from exposure to sunlight and air. A survey conducted by BN in 2015 proved that Naturists have higher self-esteem and better body confidence.

Naturism is great for families and children – it’s an activity that all the family can do together. Naturist children are happy, well-adjusted and safe and grow up with a better understanding of what will happen to their bodies and enjoy a relaxed, outdoor life. Naturist families have better relationships - children who grew up in Naturism report how they could talk to their parents about anything.

British Naturism is a membership organisation – why not join us and get the many benefits?

There is no law against Naturism - There is no offence of nudity in English law but there are badly defined offences which may be used and abused for just about anything that somebody in authority dislikes. The Sexual Offences Act 2003 specifically excludes Naturism, though intending to upset or cause harm by being naked may well be a criminal offence. Fundamentally the law is a mess but the practice of Naturism is legal in a much wider range of circumstances than many people assume.

Things to do – you’ll wonder how you did without us - come to an event, join a club or swim, go on a Naturist holiday, including group holidays for BN Members only, get involved with the British Naturism members’ online community, and sign up for free newsletters.

What is Naturism? - Naturism is the practice of going without clothes and is not shameful, embarrassing or ridiculous, in fact when the weather is hot or you are swimming it’s the sensible option – and great fun! Find out more.
