We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Munt as BN’s Sports Officer. In his new national volunteer role, Ian will work with BN Events Manager Mark Walsh.
Ian has enjoyed naturism for the last five years. Since joining BN around three years ago, he has attended national events such as Alton Towers and Bournemouth, BN: Sunfolk and overseas holidays. He also enjoys naturist sports such petanque, water polo and, especially, walking. He sees himself as a naturist sports enthusiast (rather than an expert) and wants to learn the rules of the game(s) and build the role steadily.
Professionally, Ian holds a senior role within a large corporation, setting up programmes; building risk assessments, developing policies and training programmes, and engaging with stakeholders in the UK, Europe and Asia. He has a range of transferable skills that will enable him to undertake his new role successfully.
Ian finds himself ‘in at the deep end’, literally, as he gets straight into helping Mark on the BN Swimming Gala taking place on 7 May 2022 (see link below for further information). Despite this, Ian says he “is greatly looking forward to the role and hopes to encourage more members to participate in naturist sports activities and events."
