Naturist walk near Craven Arms Shropshire

Sorry for the very short notice, but as I'm free and the weather forecast is good a chance has arisen for a Naturist walk from a village near Craven Arms this Wednesday 26th September. The walk is about 8 miles long and will take approximately 3.5 - 4hrs. It is very naturist friendly. There are about four long and moderately steep hills on the route, but that also mean there are some good views of the Shropshire countryside. I propose that we meet at the Craven Arms Hotel, which is hard to miss and has a car park at the rear, postcode SA7 9QJ, at 11.00hrs, and that we leave by 11.30hrs to drive the last couple of miles to the start of the walk. Please let me know if you are able to come along, otherwise if no one is coming I probably won't bother to go either, as I've walked it recently sorting the route out. You can contact me via the forum or on 07914 186466 or email naked_country@yahoo.co.uk

    Naturist Walk in Shropshire

    until
A Naked Shropshire walk on Friday 20th July, starting from the village of Bucknell, Shropshire. Its a circular walk of about 9.5 - 10 miles, The walk goes over three hills Bucknell Hill, Hobden Titterhill, Bucknell Wood, giving a number of long moderate to steep climbs. Much of the walk is in woodland but there are open stretches with some fine views across the surrounding countryside. There is a good pub in the village called The Baron, and we can park there. I propose that we meet at the pub at 11.00hrs. The pub opens and serves food from at 18.00hrs so walkers can stay for a drink and / or a meal, should they wish to. The postcode given for the pub is SY7 OAH. Those taking part should have with them a means of covering up quickly should that be necessary. When I walked it horse flies and other nasties were active in places so its recomended that you bring insect repellent as well as sunscreen. It goes without saying that should the weather be as hot as it has been of late then you will need to carry plenty of water. Any queries either post here, or email me on northwestrep@bn.org.uk. My phone number mainly for use on the day is 07914 186466.

Taking advantage of the great weather with a walk and a river dip.Meet at 1pm at http://w3w.co/yard.cocktail.reclining54.5747885,-1.9843799Directions: On the B6277 in Cotherstone (Postcode DL12 9NW) heading North West, turn sharp right down this lane (Postcode DL12 9NW)http://w3w.co/iteration.intruded.brew54.5736879,-1.9847771Bear left at this pointhttp://w3w.co/riverbed.enabling.savers54.5739786,-1.9845267 Park on the grass opposite the football field http://w3w.co/yard.cocktail.reclining 54.5747885,-1.9843799 Walk down this lane and across the first bridge on the left over the River Balder http://w3w.co/blessing.indirect.waltz Carry on walking North, upstream, on the Teesdale Way on the left hand side of the river for about 20 minutes until you reach a small brook. cross the stepping stones over the brook. There is a rocky beach by the main river. You have now reached the first possible site but it's not the best one IMO, although if someone has problems walking further we could use this one. http://w3w.co/zoos.snores.culminate To reach the better site, don't stop here but cross over the stile and into a field. Follow the Teesdale Way which means climbing a grass bank way from the river, up the field and turn right to go past the farm and holiday cottage. Walk between the metal fence and the cottage past then past the farm shed. When past the shed, keep right and follow the Teesdale Way which is not marked very well. Keep to the fence on the right and through the gate. After another 20 minutes from the first spot, you reach a spot in the river where water tumbles over a shallow waterfall and there are flat rocks to sit on next to the river. Alternatively walk a little further then walk under / through the trees to get to the riverbank where the river is deeper. The Teesdale Way is a public footpath. You will need to take your own decisions about whether it is safe for you to walk this distance, swim or paddle, and what to wear.

    Naturist Walk in Shropshire

A Naked Shropshire walk on Thursday 24th May, starting from the small village of Cardington, Shropshire, which is a few miles east of Church Stretton. Its a circular walk of about 9 miles with some fine views across the surrounding countryside, there are a couple of moderate to steep climbs. There is a good pub in the village called The Royals Oak, which opens at lunchtime and in the evening. Therefore I propose that we meet at the pub at 12.00hrs with the aim of moving off by 12.30hrs. The pub re-opens at 18.00hrs so walkers can stay for a drink, and a meal, should they wish to. Depending on numbers it may be possible to leave cars in the pub car park, otherwise there is space for careful and considerate parking in the village in the area around the church. The postcode given for the pub is SY6 7JZ. Map reference 506953 Those taking part should have with them a means of covering up quickly should that be necessary. Any queries either pm me, post to the thread in the forum, or email me on northwestrep@bn.org.uk. My phone number, mainly for use on the day, is 07914 186466.
