The Great South Skinny Dip is part of the Great British Skinny Dip. Thousands of people across the country will be taking part to raise money for good causes and to experience the exhileration of being naked.
Why Skinny Dip?
From mental health and body positivity to raising your heart rate and just feeling the rush of being alive, there are many, many health benefits to being naked. But, if you are looking for another reason to skinny dip, why not do it for a great cause? Our chosen charity is the mental heath charity MIND (charity reg no 219830)
The Great British Skinny Dip started in 2016 and has expanded from one event to dozens being organised around the country.
Being in a non-judgemental diverse group helps you become familiar with and accepting of all kinds of body types. Whatever you look like, you are normal, as is everyone else.
You can be as bare as you dare. If you would feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit then you are welcome to. There will be time to strip off and store your clothes before the off and plenty of space to spread out or stay within your friends or family group when on the beach.
https://slowswimming.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/IMG_20240109_145036-1024x557.jpg The Great South Skinny Dip takes place at 1pm (meet from 12 noon) on the beach at Studland Bay. We are 1km along the sea front to the north (to the left) of the Knoll Beach National Trust car park.

At 1pm we will sound the horn and rush as one into the sea. Squeals and screams are bound to follow!
This year we are proud to be raising much needed funds for MIND (charity reg no 219830)

Mostly footpaths/bridleways and forest gravel tracks, with some minor road asphalt sections. Around 9 miles (subject to final recce, and the group’s preferences on the day).
Other than the meeting point and the final 300m of this route, it is completely different from that of 10th April this year.

NWD - Naturist Walks Dorset - Wareham
Come and join us for a naked country walk deep in the heart of Dorset.
This short (3-mile) walk follows much of Wareham's signposted "Two Rivers Walks" to and from the point where the rivers Frome and Piddle join up to enter Poole Harbour. The exact route will depend on how luxuriant the reed beds are this autumn (to be determined on the final recce). Other than a short section on the earth ramparts built centuries ago to protect Wareham from marauders, the walk is completely flat, following footpaths/bridleways with some minor road asphalt.
This event is one of 3 Naturist Walks Dorset planned for September, all listed in the BN Events Calendar. British Naturism members and others interested in naked walking are all welcome. When booking, please state your BN membership number or other interest, and provide your email address and mobile phone number.

NWD - Naturist Walks Dorset - Wareham Forest
Come and join us for a naked country walk deep in the heart of Dorset.
The first half of this walk takes us through undulating mature coniferous plantations that at weekends are a magnet for mountain bike riders. Then it's on to a large area of bog (which we avoid) and flat heathland before returning to base. Footpaths/bridleways and forest tracks make walking a pleasure. No asphalt sections. Around 9 miles (subject to final recce, and the group’s preferences on the day).
This event is one of 3 Naturist Walks Dorset planned for September, all listed in the BN Events Calendar. British Naturism members and others interested in naked walking are all welcome. Don’t be shy about it. Be brave and tell as many people as you can. It’s surprising how many people will donate to such a well-known, deserving charity, when they know you are doing something, which to them seems, ridiculous. Be BOLD!’

Naked Quiz & Social Evening
Following the success of two previous events, we are delighted to offer another warm welcome to a naked quiz and social evening in a modern, vibrant and well-regarded café-bar in the Triangle, adjacent to the central library. #4 on TripAdvisor and 5* food hygiene rating. Following feedback, we are looking at having an ice-breaking session before the quiz proper to encourage mingling, though rest assured that both the venue and our host Ed will be warm and welcoming!
Ticket holders will be welcomed from 7pm. A changing area with coat racks will be provided: please bring a towel on which to sit. Windows will be covered and there will be door security to ensure privacy.
The cover charge for entry to the event and the quiz includes a welcome drink (choice of bottled beers, 175ml glass of house red, white or rose wine, soft drink or any hot drink).

It will be the normal evening menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options plus hot and cold drinks, cakes &c (links below). You don't have to eat if you don't want to: it will be normal counter service and pay-as-you-go, after the initial welcome drink.

The quiz will start c.8pm and is designed to be fun and informal. The venue has a successful track record of organising quiz evenings and other social events.
£15 per head, including quiz and drink upon arrival. Members and non-members welcome, but tickets must be purchased in advance.
