The Eastern Region autumn meeting will be held at Oakwood Sun Club.
The meeting will start at 11:00 and normally finishes about lunchtime. Lunch will be provided. After lunch we usually have time for informal discussions and to allow members to discover the many delights of this club.
All members of BN within the Eastern Region are welcome (ER1 or ER2 on your membership card) as well as representatives of all members clubs. Each member carries an individual vote and each club also carries one vote. Please bring your BN card.
Paperwork will be sent out (by e-mail usually) before the meeting. Please advise the secretary (easternsecretary@bn.org.uk) at least one week before the meeting if you intend to come so we can get the catering sorted out. Details of the menu will be added nearer the time.

Hoping the sun will be out so we can enjoy a nice afternoon naked by the river and maybe go in for a dip in the river.
Bring food, drink, ground sheet and a towel if you want a dip. We may go for a short naked walk by the river within the Thundry Meadows nature reserve.
Parking is on the grass or by the gate on Farnham road near the end of Seale road. Go over the stile, along the path to the river and turn right, we will be past the pill box.
Parking is limited so please park close together and in front of the gate is ok. You can park in Elstead, walk past the Mill pub and climb over the double high metal gates on the left then walk up stream to the other end. The road has no pavement.
Please check the details on the day before you set out as this event is outside and may be cancelled if it is raining.

The pool is 18 x 9m, heated to 29 degrees.
GBSD, Wigton Baths would like to welcome you to this lovely Sandstone built Baths. It was built in 1905 and was saved from closure a couple of years ago.
We are pleased to support GBSD by opening our doors to you on Sunday September 17th, 1pm to 3pm.

Sun 17th Sep 2017 from 1530 to 1715 - Skinny Dip at King Edward Swimming Pool, Sheffield. Part of the Great British Skinny Dip - would you Dare to Bare

Swims now take place in Sheffield at King Edward's Swimming Pool, Sheffield.

For details of the pool please see their website ( http://kesp.co.uk/ ) It is an unusual pool, being 30m long with two shallow ends, somewhat deeper in the middle but still easy to stand. It's ideal for those learning to swim. Our impression is that the pool is warmer than Chapeltown.
There is plenty of street parking, free on Sundays. Outside of school hours we can also park for free in the school staff car park adjacent . There are two entrances: I'd suggest the Glossop Road entrance is the one to use, but there is also an entrance on Newbould Lane which means a longer walk.
For the July swim there was a locked gate between the car park and the pool, so you might have a bit of a walk if this is still the case, however when I drove past a few days afterwards, the gate was open. The gate was open in August, so it might only be locked in term time.
For those arriving by public transport the pool is very close to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and is served by the 120 bus, the closest tram stop is the University of Sheffield.
If you are hungry/thirsty there is a Wetherspoon's ( The Francis Newton ) virtually opposite.

The swims will normally take place on the third Sunday of the month, from 1530 to 1715 ( all persons to leave by 1725 ). (Note: Next month will be on the 4th Sunday) Cost will be £5 ( BN or other national federation cards to be shown ) or £7 otherwise. The pool does not have lockers and swimmers are advised to bring a bag for their clothes/possessions and to take them poolside as the secure cloakroom will not be staffed.
