About The Host:
Marcin is a visual artist from Poland specializing in figurative sculpture, painting and drawing. He started his art education at the age of 15 when he entered the Kenar Artistic High School, Zakopane. There he developed and mastered the techniques of woodcarving, casting, bronze and ceramics. In that period, the young artist took part in various residencies and workshops in Poland and abroad including France and Germany.
After completing his Diploma, Marcin went on to study Art and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He graduated in 2009 with a MA degree in Sculpture. In Gdansk, Marcin acquired the skills and the expertise needed to master human anatomy and drawing. He worked with a wide range of materials: stone, resins, faux stones, plaster and concrete. During the course of his studies the artist created multiple large-scale figures many of which were commissioned to be showcased internationally.
Since moving to Scotland in 2012 Marcin has continued to expand his artistic repertoire. In Edinburgh he underwent a 6 months long course of drawing at The Academy of Realist Art. From 2014 to the present day Marcin has run untutored life drawing classes at Leith School of Art where he also works as a tutor support technician on the LSA Figure Course. He runs Figure Drawing workshops for various art organisations. From 2019 he has started working as a Gallery Curator at St Margaret’s House. In his artwork Marcin shows great admiration to the human body, its shapes, colours and variety of forms. This focus on the human body in his art also provides analysis of human sexuality and desires.

Join me in November 2019 for a 4-week Candlelight Women-Only Naked Yoga Course. This course is designed to explore the 4 different personality types related to the Earth Water Fire Air through Yin Naked Yoga. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time to allow to deeply stretch your body. The space is well heated, candle-lit and private for an ultimate “freedom” feel to allow women to feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable and shed their layers. We will concentrate on one element for each class, bringing our attention to different personality types, and work on meditation, mudras and pranayama techniques. Of course, this is a Naked Yoga class, so the other focus, as with all of my classes, is to build your body confidence through yoga. This is why I’ve chosen to do a Women-Only class: for those who need to gain more confidence through stages, it’s probably easier to take their first step into Naked practice among fellow ladies. The soft candlelight also helps, although its main purpose is relaxation! In any case, you will find the cosy atmosphere of this class to be conducive to an immersive experience, where you’ll forget about any hang-ups and will rediscover a healthy relationship with your body. Imagine feeling confident, happy with your body, happier with life and being able to do the things you want to do without being fearful. Start on this new path of discovery with this 4-week classes. Remember, this is a class for women of all ages, shapes, colours, and sexual orientations! Starting on Monday 4th through to Monday 25th November 2019 from 8 to 9:30pm in Clapham North SW9 9NZ, full address will be given upon booking. No previous yoga experience is required, you will work at your own pace, following the teacher's verbal guidance.
Yoga mats will be arranged in a horseshoe or circular pattern around the teacher so that each person faces the teacher but is not looking directly at other people – and nobody is behind you. A shower downstairs is available for use after class. Please bring your own towel. WHAT TO EXPECT: Nudity, when and if you feel ready. A relaxing, private, candle-lit and heated yoga space A safe environment to be completely real and authentic Yin Naked Yoga (available to beginners) Meditation Breathing Techniques (Pranayama) WHAT TO BRING: Please bring your mat, if you don't have a mat you can borrow one at the venue If you borrow a mat, please bring a towel (for hygiene reasons) A bottle of water to have with you during the practice Sarong, Pashmina or kimono to wrap around you before the yoga practice An open heart and mind Blankets will be provided, you are welcome to bring your own if you want.
