IMPORTANT INFORMATION.
Due to the closure of the Glenburn Hotel we have secure a new hotel for the Gathering 2021.
To be clear this is a 3 night weekend event from the Friday afternoon 15.30 to the Monday morning 10.00 and is a dinner bed & breakfast basis and includes entertainment.
Our new hotel is the Waverley Castle Hotel in Melrose TD6 9AA in the Scottish Borders. There is no change to date or price. The hotel will accommodate all our booked guests although as the hotel is inland we cannot offer sea view rooms! The hotel stands in it own large grounds has large dining room and function suite with dance floor and bar, all floors are served by a lift and is on bus routes and close to Tweedbank Station which has regular train service from Edinburgh. On the edge of the market town of Melrose, on the River Tweed, with its historic Abbey and interesting selection of shops . All guests who have booked have been sent an email informing them of the change. If you do not have email check your Junk folder.

We're back!
Swims take place in Sheffield at King Edward's Swimming Pool, Sheffield.
The pool address is :-
King Edward's Swimming Pool,
Clarkehouse Road
Sheffield
S10 2LB
For details of the pool please see their website ( http://kesp.co.uk/ ) It is an unusual pool, being 30m long with two shallow ends, somewhat deeper in the middle but still easy to stand. Our impression is that the pool is warmer than Chapeltown.
There is some street parking, Outside of school hours we can also park for free in the school staff car park adjacent . There are two entrances: I'd suggest the Glossop Road entrance is the one to use.
For those arriving by public transport the pool is very close to the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and is served by the 120 bus, the closest tram stop is the University of Sheffield.
If you are hungry/thirsty there is a Wetherspoon's ( The Francis Newton ) virtually opposite.
For location see Google Maps - the pool is near the centre:-
https://goo.gl/maps/G5FibCReNcB2
The swims will normally take place on the third Sunday of the month, from 1530 to 17.00. Cost will be £7 ( BN/INF, cards to be shown ) or £10 otherwise. The pool does not have lockers and swimmers are advised to bring a bag for their clothes/possessions and to take them poolside as the secure cloakroom will not be staffed.
For further details please contact Andrew Calow ( andrew.calow@bn.org.uk, 0114 2215579 ).
