A mainstay of the online sessions has been our Naked Fitness classes, available to members and non-members alike. They're still popular and include sessions of different types of yoga, group fitness training, meditation and even ballet. They all provide an excellent way to keep fit and healthy without leaving the house.
Member Jooles runs three sessions of 'GroovX' - a special kind of fitness to music and (drum roll, please!) has just added 'Mat Pilates' (pictured) on a Sunday evening.
You can find all the sessions, together with the days and times they take place over in the BN shop
BN's huge programme of online events began during lockdown to give members a way to continue being part of the community and meet - if virtually - others. It was an instant hit with sessions full of people, including many who joined in from around the world.
When lockdown ended we saw no reason not to carry them on and so over four years later we can all attend 'events' from the comfort of wherever we happen to be - and not have to worry about what to wear!
Our popular Coffee Morning takes place today, so join us in the BN coffee shop for a natter with friends...
During the session, small groups will be created, allowing you to meet new people and have a chat. Every 15/20 mins we rotate the rooms so you are chatting to different people. It's a great way to meet people and make new friends.
Bring a brew and something to dunk... find out how to join in over in the BN shop. It's free as part of your membership.
British Naturism is the UK member of the International Naturist Federation, the global organisation for Naturists that exists to represent, support and coordinate Naturist activity worldwide. If you are a BN member, you are automatically a member of the INF! You can find out more at inf-fni.org.
Their newsletter - Focus - is published every two months and provides an update as to what’s going on in the INF and beyond.
The October edition of Focus has as its headline the news that three new naturist federations from Peru, Costa Rica and Columbia, have joined the INF-FNI, bringing the total number of federations to 40. In other articles, the EuNat sports officer provides an interesting account of the International Naturist Pétanque tournament that took place recently in Germany, and the president of the Serbian Federation gives an overview of the successful Games Without Borders event in Montenegro.
There is also news of a new naturist campsite at Sonnensee near Hanover, that was recently awarded the prestigious EU Ecolabel, for its extensive environmental and nature conservation activities. Last but not least, INF-FNI Vice-president talks about what can be expected from the upcoming World Congress in Mexico!
It's available from the BN website downloads section
We like to bring you news stories of forthcoming events - it spreads the word, encourages more people to book and shows just how vibrant the Naturist scene is in the UK. However - I'm happy to say - there are far too many to promote them all individually and so here is a complete list of all the events happening over just the next couple of weeks and big events taking place later. Enjoy! And don't forget that we are always looking for reports on great gatherings for the magazine and elsewhere...
Please note: only those events organised through BN are covered by BN’s insurance. Participants in other events should make their own enquiries regarding appropriate insurance cover for that event.

Central Sun Club is coming soon! A team led by Marc Morris is launching the Central Sun Club, a ten-acre site accessible from Edinburgh and Glasgow that showcases the natural beauty of Scotland, including a small loch an. For the moment, Central Sun Club will be a back-to-basics site, that plans a grand opening next year. Marc and his colleagues say, “Join us in our mission to establish a new Naturist club in the heart of Scotland!
This Sunday 29 September you can visit and see what it's all about - find the details here on the BN calendar
centralsunclub.com
It's been another terrific year for our outreach projects - The Great British Skinny Dip and Naked Heart Walks - in partnership with our charity partner British Heart Foundation!
Over 550 skinny dips took place in a variety of venues around the country, providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy costume-free swimming, including many newcomers. We were delighted to see new venues added too, including plenty who have never hosted nude swims before. Some are now running regular Naturist events.
Eight Naked Heart Walks took place (including a second visit to the stunning Powderham Castle (pictured)) and once again proved popular for the experienced and the new.
On Monday 30 September we'll meet some of the BN volunteer team behind the initiatives, hear highlights of 2024 and, crucially, look forward to how we plan to build on our success and take these projects forward in 2025 - come and find out how YOU can help with that!
Join us on the night over in the BN shop
It was a great privilege to be able to host the second BN Pride event at the newly refurbished British Naturism: Sunfolk in September, which around thirty people attended. For some it was the first time they had tried Naturism or even been to a pride event. The new look Sunfolk went down very well with many commenting on how lovely it was and those that had visited a long time before saying that it had not lost its charm.
The weekend coincided with Bi Visibility Weekend too. It is important we remember that all those in the LGBTQ community have feelings and we should recognise and respect everyone for who they are. Just because you are gay, lesbian, bi, transgender or identify differently it doesn’t and shouldn’t matter.
The weather on Saturday was glorious and we took full advantage playing volleyball outside, sunbathing, swimming, water volleyball, sitting in the hot tub and when it cooled off a little in the evening, and making use of the new sauna.
On Sunday the weather wasn’t quite as kind to us and it rained heavily for most of the day. It didn’t dampen our spirits though and we continued the event with indoor board games, table tennis and discussions.
We had a BBQ on the Saturday night, which everyone came to even if they were not there for the event but just staying over. It was a really good night with some great food. We also had a campfire on both nights and toasted marshmallows which was a new experience for some.
Even in 2024 it ceases to amaze me that those in the LGBTQ community still feel persecuted, which is why these events are so important. One person I spoke to had not only not told their family about Naturism but hadn’t even come out. This was in fear of how they would be treated by family friends and work colleagues which I think is really sad. They did say however what a wonderful event Pride Sunfolk was and how for two days they could be themselves and not live in fear.
Another conversation that struck me was one I had after the volleyball game. Someone said that they were never picked for a team at school as they were different. Today they were part of a team, enjoyed it and even managed to get the ball across the net. They said it had made their day. It also made mine to think how little things mean so much to some people.
We had a really great weekend where everyone enjoyed themselves including the Sunfolk Wardens and thank you to both Colin and Mike for making the event so special. My thanks also to all those who came and to John, Ian and James for their help throughout the weekend.
So many asked when the next one would be so I am planning to run another one in June 2025, watch this space the BN website and Sunfolk website for dates.
For me this shows how important these events are, now they bring people together and allow them to be themselves. Naturism is also a good leveller as it doesn’t matter what your body shape, how big or small you are we are all have a body and that body is special and unique however you identify.
…and right at the end of the event a rainbow appeared over the Pavilion!
In the spring, we launched TheNakedTruth, a campaign aimed at raising awareness of Naturism through short soundbite videos shared on social media. The initiative was spearheaded by Claire, our lead interviewer, who graced the cover of our latest magazine and has truly immersed herself in the project. Over the past six months, we’ve spoken to a variety of people, covering topics such as personal testimonies, the benefits of Naturism, details about events, and answers to frequently asked questions.
Initially, content was distributed across multiple platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. However, as the campaign progressed, we shifted our focus primarily to Instagram, which has proven to be the most successful platform, particularly because the content was specifically designed for this audience. We now operate two Instagram channels, @british_naturism [https://www.instagram.com/british_naturism/] and @thenakedtruth_uk [https://www.instagram.com/thenakedtruth_uk/], which work in tandem to spread our message.
Success by the Numbers
So, how has the campaign performed? The results have been overwhelmingly positive. Since the launch, TheNakedTruth videos have attracted well over half a million views on Instagram, with an further 2 million views for supporting, non-video content. These figures don’t even account for the numerous times our content has been reshared, which we know has happened frequently. Only our interactions with television and mainstream media have reached a wider audience, but the key difference here is that TheNakedTruth allows us to control the narrative and communicate the real essence of Naturism, free from the influence of intermediaries with differing priorities.
Currently, our Instagram videos are reaching an impressive 22,000 different accounts each month. Even more encouraging is that two-thirds of these views come from people who aren’t already subscribed to our channels. This indicates that we’re successfully engaging with new audiences, not just speaking to established Naturists. Reaching those who are merely curious about social nudity was a key goal for us, and the engagement levels suggest that we’re succeeding in enticing people to consider Naturism as an option for themselves.
This is reflected when looking at the top 20 most popular videos where the most popular are those considering the effect of Naturism on our wellbeing. The engagement shows that people are looking for something to make their lives better and realising they might find it in Naturism.
What’s Next for TheNakedTruth?
As we look to the future, TheNakedTruth continues to evolve. Recently, we unveiled a brand-new logo, marking the campaign’s growing reputation. We’ve also started incorporating snippets of music, poetry, art, and activities from our events, giving our audience a deeper insight into what they might experience in a Naturist setting. By doing so, we aim to give those who are curious the confidence to explore nude recreation.
Another key focus moving forward is broadening the range of people featured in the videos. Our initial content was shot at NKD, which gave it a youthful focus. However, more recently, we’ve filmed at other events, including Nudefest and EveryBody, which will allow us to present a wider variety of perspectives. This broader representation will be key in demonstrating that Naturism is for everyone, regardless of age or background.
We’re also exploring new content formats on alternative platforms. For example, while reposting our Instagram videos on YouTube hasn’t significantly boosted views, we see an opportunity to post longer-format videos that can provide a different kind of experience for viewers. Additionally, we’re brainstorming new content ideas to ensure we continue offering a complete and engaging portrayal of Naturism.
A Bright Future Ahead
In just six months, TheNakedTruth has already made significant strides towards achieving its goals, with plenty of exciting developments still on the horizon. But we can’t do it alone—we need your help to spread the word. Visit and subscribe to both channels on Instagram. Watch the videos, like them, leave comments, and share them. Your activity on social media helps push our content to a wider audience, amplifying our message.
Together, we can show the world why Naturism is a force for good.
The weather on the way to BN’s 60th anniversary Jamboree in Hay-on-Wye, Wales on September 12 was, as it nearly always is when my partner Dave and I are en route to a nudie event, rotten. But – as also usually happens – by the time we arrived at our destination, Baskerville Hall, things were looking up, and they continued to look up as the days unfolded. It was our first Naturist festival, and it was a corker!
Baskerville Hall was the perfect venue for the Jamboree, and it easily handled us 220 or so festival-goers. The stately home is surrounded by woods and landscaped grounds, and it looks out across the beautiful Wye Valley. The rooms are high-ceilinged and comfy. We all made good use of the hotel’s several bars – whether for having a quiet drink and a chat or for talks, quizzes, bingo and late night discos. Dave and I stayed in the Hall, but lots of people brought their camper vans or tents. The food was pub fare but good.
From arrival on Thursday afternoon until we left Monday morning, we were busy as bees meeting old and new friends, chatting up a storm – and running around starkers (except for a lovely trip into Hay-on-Wye for lunch and a bit of shopping).
Mark Walsh outdid himself with the entertainment. Favourites: The band “Boomin’,” who belted out fantastic rock music. The murder mystery evening with the Perfect Murder Team. Made even better when our table won the consolation prize, a magnificent photo of Miss Mapletree, Pokeingham-on-the-Wold’s village sleuth and crime writer! 60s rock band The Fourmost. And Carl & Dave’s Comedy Magic. Yeah, the guys were funny and the magic astonishing (to me, at least). But the best part was at the end, when they both stripped off to raucous cheering and applause from the crowd in the nightclub.
On Saturday and Sunday morning, I took yoga classes – in person, for the first time! - with Georgia, with whom I’ve been doing BN online classes since lockdown. The Sunday session was outdoors. Challenging but fab!
Then there were the quizzes. The Decades music quiz was hard enough, but the 60 years of BN quiz was far beyond my capabilities even though I’d listened to Andrew Welch’s informative talk on our organisation. The breadth of knowledge in the room about BN was astounding, though maybe not surprising, given the fact that so many there have had a role (usually volunteer) in it over the years.
Final thoughts: What a great weekend! We could be as busy or as lazy as we wanted to be. Everyone’s common interest in Naturism meant that conversation flowed easily. We ran into friends from the Chester area, people I’ve corresponded with for the ezine, and festivalgoers from around the country (and the world: I met two fellow Americans).
It was such an effort to get dressed Monday morning before heading out to see friends on the south coast. Why isn’t everyone naked?
Come along to Court Farm Lakes in Gloucestershire this Friday for a Naked Heart Walk and raise badly needed funds for our charity partner The British Heart Foundation.
BN has secured exclusive use of the facilities for four hours allowing plenty of time to fully enjoy all that Court Farm Lakes has to offer. This is part of a series of Naked Heart Walks around the UK and at this event you have the option to purchase an evening meal of goulash to keep you sustained and warm. There will be alternatives available for those with dietary requirements. The on-site café will be open throughout for you to purchase snacks and drinks.
Fine more information, book tickets or indicate dietary requirements over on Eventbrite.
We like to bring you news stories of forthcoming events - it spreads the word, encourages more people to book and shows just how vibrant the Naturist scene is in the UK. Back by popular demand! On 12th October come and enjoy a Virtual Golf evening with a buffet at the Pro Golf Centre in Milton Keynes.
It's our second visit - last year most people who came had never tried golf before and really had a great time. No particular skills are required and there are plenty of staff on hand to help us all with our game.

This weekend, British Naturism is set to host a special Pride event at Sunfolk, running from 20 to 22 September. Designed as a relaxed, inclusive gathering, the event is open to everyone - whether you're part of the LGBTQ+ community or simply looking to enjoy a welcoming, open atmosphere. Attendees will have the chance to meet new people, unwind, and connect in the sunshine.
With the weather forecast predicting temperatures above 20°C, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the outdoor setting, complete with a sauna and hot tub for added relaxation.
Event Schedule
Friday
Early evening: Arrivals
Late evening: Campfire gathering with a welcome chat
Saturday
Daytime: Outdoor games, pool activities, sauna, hot tub, and relaxed socializing
Early evening: BBQ (bring your own food and drinks)

Late afternoon: Departures
Relaxed Atmosphere and Casual Vibes
The event promises a laid-back atmosphere with plenty of opportunities to mingle and socialize. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to take a break from the hustle and bustle, chat with others, and make new connections. The campfire gatherings in the evenings will offer a cozy setting for impromptu entertainment, including karaoke and sketches.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks, and there will be a communal kitchen available for meal preparation. For those traveling light, a small shop in the Pavilion will offer snacks and essentials, and there are offsite supermarkets and takeaways within walking distance.
Supporting Bi-Visibility Week
British Naturism's Pride Weekend coincides with the start of Bi-Visibility Week, with Bi-Visibility Day following on 23 September. This week is dedicated to raising awareness of the Bi community, a segment of the LGBTQ+ population that continues to face stigma and lacks the same level of societal recognition and protection as other groups.
Naturism, with its core values of acceptance and freedom, provides an ideal backdrop for fostering awareness and education around marginalised communities. British Naturism is proud to support Bi-Visibility Week, promoting understanding and solidarity with those who continue to face prejudice.
Whether you’re looking for a space to relax and connect with others or eager to learn more about the experiences of marginalized communities, this Pride event is the perfect opportunity to enjoy some late summer sunshine while championing inclusivity.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to celebrate diversity, meet like-minded people, and enjoy a warm, welcoming environment at British Naturism’s Pride Weekend at Sunfolk!
To secure your spot for the weekend, booking is available through the Sunfolk website
Join us for something a little different: a naked quiz and social evening in a new-to-us modern, vibrant and popular café-bar in Bournemouth on Saturday 19 October.
The cover charge for entry to the event and the quiz includes a welcome drink. The kitchen will also be open. The quiz will take up part of the social evening and will not only be fun and informal, but also help to get people mixing and talking. Whilst it is a first for us, the owner of the venue has lots of experience running successful social evenings including quizzes.

...and we're back! The Forum Live, BN's weekly interview show starts again after a break over the summer months, at 19.30 next Monday 23 September.
Our guest will be Ronna Krozy, a key member of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR), a federation in the US that operates like BN does over here.
Ronna has a long and illustrious history in 'nudism' in the States having held many, many different roles at club, regional and national level, in Advocacy and Public Relations with multiple appearances in the media (here's one from earlier this year on CNN) and external speaking engagements. She was recently inducted into the AANR Hall of Fame which is AANR's highest honour.
Ronna came to nudism relatively late in life having been introduced by a boyfriend, but took to it immediately. She says, 'Surrounded by an array of unclothed friendly people sitting by the pond, I discovered I had little anxiety or hesitation to become 'one of them,' even at my first encounter.'
Sound like there will be no shortage of things to talk about - join us on the night via the BN shop. The Forum Live is open to members of British Naturism and all other Naturist federations.
Our last full day here at Baskerville Hall was as full and exciting as any other, though sadly the weather turned a little and we even had some rain. It didn't dampen our spirits, though, with more fitness, yoga and crafts, plus games of frisbee golf and a treasure hunt around the house and grounds. Another quiz - partly focused on BN's 60 years - got us all thinking, and in a change to the usual routine, a BBQ was served for dinner.
Guests then packed into the nightclub once again to watch comedy magic, a lip-synch cabaret show and DJ Gracie's classic disco tunes from across the decades. Yes sir, I CAN boogie!
That's it, I'm afraid, after breakfast this morning we all head for home, but are already looking forward to a return to this great venue. Keep an eye out for details...
Another lovely day on the English/Welsh borders, both in terms to the weather and the activities. We’re all enjoying the long tables in the restaurant which give us the chance to sit with different friends each mealtime or to make new ones. The bars are also great places for a similar community-spirit to be created.
Guests could stick around at Baskerville Hall and get involved in fitness, yoga, lawn games and crafts or take advantage of the shuttle-bus to nearby Hay-on-Wye, famous for its annual book festival. A very pretty little town with pubs, cafés, antique shops, covered market and, of course, a plentiful supply of book shops. We all returned with more bags than we set off with…
A Q&A session about BN events and a talk about 60 years of British Naturism preceded a UV painting session and then Karaoke before we were entertained by 1960s hit-makers The Fourmost and - for those who could stand the pace late into the evening - 80s and 90s anthems disco.
The weather is still behaving and plenty of Jamboree guests took the opportunity to soak up some rays yesterday and compete (though not very seriously) in some games in the grounds of Baskerville Hall, such as Kubb and archery. After an early fitness session many took the shuttle bus at various intervals and enjoyed canoeing on the river Wye which looked stunning in the sunshine, with kingfishers and cormorants in evidence.
Our evening's entertainment was a 'Perfect Murder' provided by Miss Mapletree and her cast of characters who fed us clues and offered themselves for interviews by the various teams to work out whodunnit. Great fun. A soul and motown disco rounded off a fabulous day.
It's all rather good here at Baskerville Hall! Over 200 Naturists enjoying beautiful surroundings including a terrific view of the Black Mountains.
Day 1 kicked off with a meet and greet and 'Decades' music quiz and that frantic, euphoric dancing we alway witness at a BN event when a band takes to the stage, in this case, 'Boomin'', a three piece band from Wigan playing all the songs we know and love to dance to.
The hotel is great - rather posh in an old-fashioned way, with sweeping staircase and high ceilings. Food's good, and the bar's open...
Over the past five years, British Naturism has had the privilege of collaborating with many incredible artists at its events, but every now and then, a relationship evolves into something much deeper. One such example is the partnership with The Magic Teapot, a collective of artists who have become not only performers but integral members of the Naturist community.
One of the most prominent figures in this group is singer-songwriter Sorrel Nation, whose journey with British Naturism highlights the power of art, self-expression, and connection. Sorrel has performed her own music at Nudefest and EveryBody festivals, as well as being a core part of the Teapot crew, immersing herself fully in the Naturist community. From gracing the cover of British Naturism’s magazine twice alongside her partner Theo, to giving candid interviews on the Forum Live, Sorrel's presence has grown into something truly special.
In addition to her artistic contributions, Sorrel's involvement in the campaign to promote Naturism is set to reach even more people, with interviews soon to be released later this year as part of TheNakedTruth campaign. Her dedication extends beyond performance—she’s shared her personal experiences with Naturism, helping to normalise and advocate for the lifestyle.
However, Sorrel’s journey as an artist is only just beginning. She has completed the writing process for her first studio album, a major milestone for any independent musician. The next step, though, presents its own challenges: funding the studio time to bring her music to life. For independent artists, this is often a significant hurdle, as the financial means to produce professional-quality music can be limited.
But the Naturist community can help. Supporters can contribute through Sorrel’s Kickstarter campaign, which offers fans the opportunity to buy early copies of the album, purchase merchandise, or even hire Sorrel for a private performance. Having grown so close to the British Naturism community, this is a perfect opportunity to support one of its own.
Sorrel isn’t the only member of The Magic Teapot who has become a fixture at British Naturism events. Bassie Gracie, a talented bass guitarist, poet, and DJ, has also made her mark. Whether performing with the Teapot crew or spinning tracks late into the night, Gracie's contributions add to the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that defines these gatherings. However, what Gracie is best known for is recitals of her poetry which tackles many of the concepts we try to address through Naturism. I’m writing this article from the 60th Anniversary Jamboree, where Gracie is expected to join the festivities shortly, further proving that the involvement of these artists at our events is far from rare.
Why This Matters
British Naturism is about more than just body positivity and nudity—it’s about creating spaces for self-respect, creativity, and mental well-being. In a world where young adults often face intense pressures and mental health challenges, Naturism offers a refreshing break from the relentless demands of modern life. However, reaching younger audiences requires voices and faces that resonate with them—people like Sorrel Nation, Bassie Gracie, Theo, and the entire Magic Teapot crew.
These artists are not only performers, but advocates for the Naturist lifestyle, bringing its values to music festivals and events where they can connect with open-minded individuals who may not yet be familiar with Naturism. Their influence is helping to bridge the gap between generations, offering a fresh perspective that speaks directly to young adults who may be seeking an escape from the stress of everyday life.
The contributions of The Magic Teapot crew are making a significant difference in how Naturism is perceived and embraced. Supporting their creative endeavours, especially as they face obstacles like funding for artistic projects, is not just a way to help them personally—it’s an investment in the future of British Naturism.
So, if you’re inspired by their work and want to play a part in this evolving movement, consider supporting Sorrel Nation’s album or getting involved with the Teapot crew’s efforts. These artists have become family, and like all families, it’s important to lift each other up.
Now, it’s time to send Gracie some directions to the Jamboree! The future of Naturism is bright, and with the help of artists like Sorrel and Gracie, it's becoming more inclusive and vibrant than ever.
Only those events organised through BN are covered by BN’s insurance. Participants in the other events should make their own enquiries regarding appropriate insurance cover for that event.

My thanks to David Smith for putting the list together...
Wishing all the guests at BN's 60th anniversary Jamboree a fabulous time! The venue is a new one to us - Baskerville Hall on the Welsh borders near Hay-on-Wye - and yes, as you may have deduced from the image, it is the place that inspired Conan-Doyle's famous Sherlock Holmes story...
It's a packed programme of activity including live music, murder mystery evening, comedy, quiz, talks, crafts, and games and sports. Trips off the site include canoeing (sadly, not naked) down the nearby River Wye and a visit to Hay-on-Wye, famous for its book festival and multiple book shops. There will also be plenty of time for chilling out with friends, old and new.
Baskerville Hall also has a pool, sauna and bar. What's not to like!

The Withington Pool in South Manchester has now become another addition to the BN North West Region’s list of skinny-dipping locations, This Edwardian venue is a stunning addition to our list of venues and the North West team are now attempting to schedule events there on a Monthly basis on the 3rd Sunday in each month - subject to lifeguard availability. The Swim now has a new time of 18.00 – 19.30.
The next swim is this Sunday, 15 September! Book your place over in the BN shop! The event is open to all - not just BN members.
With full use of the modern, super-size (and very hot) Sauna and with a pool heated to 30° complimenting the air temperature that is normally at 32°, this venue has also become extremely popular with everyone and especially good feedback from some of our female members.
We sincerely hope to see more of you there!
Ron O'Hare
North West Regional Organiser and leader of Team GBSD

While the rest of Scotland basked in warm sunshine, on the day of our Findhorn GBSD the beach was shrouded in a cool haar, writes organiser Alan Ellison. This didn’t deter 31 dippers from taking part in the second GBSD here. The air temperature of 15°C and water temperature 13°C meant that many only dipped briefly and got dressed promptly afterwards. Others lost track of the time while chatting in the water and stayed in a bit longer than they should but were quickly revived by a hot drink and a piece of millionaire shortbread!
A wider range of publicity this time - an article in the Press & Journal, a post in the “Forres Local” FaceBook page and a mention on Greatest Hits Radio breakfast show - resulted in a diverse group, ranging from 20s to 70s, many of whom had only recently found out about the event and one who joined in spontaneously as she was passing. Some were a bit late so they don’t feature in the line-up but they promise to get there on time next year!
We weren’t joined by dolphins or seals but a Basking shark was spotted feeding a little further out to sea. The event raised £190 for the Findhorn Dunes Trust, a local charity which looks after the fragile environment surrounding the dip location.
A week beforehand, I put up a sign next to the car park to let people know about the event, inviting them to join us or cheer. One member of the public contacted the local police to question the legality of the sign, and the event. It was reassuring that the police responded that they had been informed of the event, and that it was legal so no action needed to be taken. I had to replace the sign five times in the week leading up to the event as it was removed by person(s) unknown, presumably because they objected. Most feedback on the Forres Local Facebook page was positive, but one person thought it was “disgusting” so I assume they stayed away!
I’ll set the date for the next event early next year after I get hold of the tide timetables, likely to be early September again. Haar is a rare thing around here and surely it can’t happen again next time!
