At the start of 2023 we started a major project to improve some of the facilities, and to add new facilities for all of our members and guests to enjoy. This project will run through to May 2024, and will deliver:
An extended and refurbished clubhouse An extended and improved car park Extended sunbathing lawns ‘Glamping Pods’ for overnight stays A new decked area around the clubhouse with a new sauna and hot tub area We’re making great progress with the project – all of which would not be possible without the financial and other contributions we have received from the Sun Folk Society, BN members and other supporters over the last three years
The development project will run through to the start of 2024, but we would like to invite BN members to join a tour of the site which we will be running on various dates in July and August. These tours will last for around 45 minutes, and should provide an opportunity to view the progress we have made and to ask questions.
The tours will be a short opportunity to visit what is an active construction site, so won’t provide an opportunity to enjoy the site for an extended period of time. There will be no contractors on site during the tours, so you are welcome to wear as much or as little as you want, with the exception of closed shoes which must be worn throughout. Access to some areas of the site may also be challenging for those with limited mobility
Parking and toilets will be available on site, but there will be no other facilities in operation
Tours have been scheduled for BN members on Saturday 29 July at 09:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and on Saturday 05 August at 12:00 midday, 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
