Directions

Follow A165, south from Bridlington Town centre for 2.5 miles to sign on left for Fraisthorpe Beach. Follow metalled single lane track to the beach.

Parking is available at Auburn Farm, there is a charge to park - Fraisthorpe Beach car park
For those of you with Satnavs, the postcode is
YO15 3QU

The traditional naturist stretch of Fraisthorpe Beach is to the south of Fraisthorpe Beach Car Park, so turn right as you walk on to the beach, from the car park and walked down the beach - southwards - until you find a quiet spot or Pill Box, or see fellow naturists in the group.

Facilities

Lavatory (for use of Caravan Site users) available at Auburn Farm (out buildings adjacent to road).

Beach

Can be windy (wind break recommended). Access along the beach is an easy if tedious walk. Remember that this is the North Sea and that the water can take a while to warm up.

Naturism

The East Riding of Yorkshire County Council have erected signs forbidding Naturism at Fraisthorpe. These signs are of dubious legality, are not enforced by the Police and no civil action has been taken against the regular naturist users of the beach who are not intimidated.

Reports from BN members that naturists are not using this beach as much, due to illegal activities and dog walkers not controlling their dogs.

Thanks to the actions of a BN member the sign effectively forbidding naturism was removed some time ago. A new one rather pointlessly stating that Fraisthorpe is not a designated Naturist beach has been erected.

I have been to the Beach a few times in last few weeks when the weather has been very nice. The naturist beach is just after the river and extends about 500 meters southwards. you do see a few naturists before the river but they are close to the start point. It is advisable to take a windbreak as there can be a sea breeze. there are no dunes it is on the beach. People see the windbreaks they tend to ignore you and leave you alone. the dog walkers and horse walkers are pretty good controlling their dogs. people know it is a naturist area too. it gets quiet about 1400hrs at which time, the adventurous can take a stroll right allong the beach or go into the water as some do. the parking at the Fraiserthorpe top car park is very good. it only cost £5 for a whole day or less hours cost less, cash or card taken. There is a cafe at the car park and toilets. there is a sign as you enter the beach from the car park which says this is not a naturist beach, this refers to that immediate part of the beach where families etc tend to congregate, you are turning south, thats right, on entering the beach. walk about 1km until the river, you will see the pill box also(see picture), your on the naturist part of the beach. there has been a few people going to this area, more as the weather has been good, singles and couples. Give me a should if your going, I only live ahour away from Fraiserthorpe, Hope this helps.

I go to Fraisthorpe quite regularly when the weather permits. Going there this week to see how much more damage has been done by the sea since last September. The naturist area is not as affected by erosion as near the car park. Also out to recce potential area to sunbathe nude. The area past the stram out let, about 1.5km from car park is a naturist area for about 500m. When tide is out you have the freedom to walk around more. If really warm a nice dip in the sea is great. More naturist are using the aea again which is good.
