Jacki and her team are holding another rally in the spring based on the great success they had last year. Being held at Lower Poulza Farm near Bude in Cornwall starting in the afternoon of Wednesday 8th May and finishing on Wednesday 15th May 2024. Lower Poulza is a beautiful unspoilt site with plenty of space to walk around and with lots of fantastic local walks and the scenic Atlantic coast to explore and of course nearby there is Tintagel, Boscastle, Widmouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Bude, Bideford, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and lots more… Come along a meet friends both old and new and Jacki says “the urn will be on in the Club House all day on arrival day and every afternoon at 5pm for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat about what you have discovered during your day in the area. There will be a fish & chip supper, welly wanging, cream tea and boules match and a campfire evening” Lower Poulza has great facilities and Jacki reminds me that if you wish to attend you will need to send her a booking form and deposit. Plymouth Sun Club meets monthly on a Monday evening for swimming in Plympton Pool, just on the outskirts of Plymouth. The usual date is the first Monday of each month, but when this is a Bank Holiday we meet on the following Monday. Lane swimming is available for the serious swimmer while the remainder of the pool caters for the less energetic and those that just wish to socialise with friends.
The hour long session commences at 8.30pm and costs £7 for non members and £5 for members each evening.

A condition of the pool hire is a minimum age of 18 years.
Many attending go onto the Stannary Court Pub (Weatherspoons) near by afterwards for a drink and chat and perhaps something to eat.
