Sometimes the newsletter generates a massive response and the last edition (August) did just that. I had loads of comments back on the question of regional events and I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all those who took time to respond to my recent regional newsletter question about visits and events. I received more replies than I expected, and it’s been fantastic to read all the thoughtful ideas and suggestions.

The message from most of the respondents was clear — you’d like to see more smaller, local events, recognising that the BN South West (SW) region is very large and that travelling long distances isn’t always easy or practical.

Your feedback means a great deal to the regional volunteer team and we can work to try and plan activities that truly suit our SW Region BN members. We’ll be using your ideas to create a mix of occasional larger gatherings and a wider range of local, accessible get-togethers for 2026.

Thank you once again for helping make our region such a friendly, welcoming, and active community.
