The Winter issue of our members' magazine is out now!
As always, it’s chock-full of news, information, listings and fully illustrated features and articles – and easier-to-read text.
Contents include:
All the events you can look forward to and a round-up of everything that’s been happening – including the EveryBody Festival and Nudefest A Stella Opportunity: BN works with a global brand to make promotional films Challenge 60: Things you can do to help us celebrate 60 years of British Naturism! Year in Review: Mark Bass looks back at BN’s 2023 activities and progress Liverpool Sun & Air Society Hits 90! Just One Person: the latest successes from our “word of mouth” campaign In travel, we talk European adventures – and Amanda and Andrews’ Big Naked Honeymoon BN238 will soon be landing on the doormats of members of British Naturism who can also download a digital version.
Our quarterly magazine is just one of the many benefits a BN membership provides. If you’re not a member yet, why not make today the day you join us?

We are very excited to announce a new opportunity to compete for some incredible holiday prizes!
Regular readers will be aware that most of the structural work to redevelop British Naturism: Sunfolk is now approaching completion.  I know that many people are already planning for the reopening and that excitement is not restricted to individuals alone.  Many of our long-standing partners are keen to be involved as the potential of the Sunfolk project is being spoken about around the world.
As a result, several groups and individuals have come forward and offered prizes for fundraising so they can be a part of it and to ensure the site delivers on its potential.
We are announcing the launch of our silent auction.  Two of the biggest donations are up for grabs and people can bid to claim them:
Cruise company, Bare Necessities have donated a balcony cabin for two aboard the Big Nude Boat, which sails from Tampa, Florida on the 25th February 2024.  The 7-day cruise visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico, and Mahogany Bay, Roatan retails for $5290 and it can otherwise be competitive to get a place at all at this stage.
Meanwhile, Cypress Cove, Florida, one of the most recognised naturist destinations in the world, have donated a six-night break during 2024.
Silent auctions are different from raffles and work by people bidding for a lot, the highest bidder wins the lot and pays the winning amount.  You can bid through the online platform here and details of how bidding works are on the page:
https://www.jumblebee.co.uk/thebigsunfolksilentauction#none
These are just the first steps, we expect to run different contests for other prizes in the new year so everybody can be involved, but these are the two big ones.
The auction closes at midday on Christmas Eve, so good luck!

Naturists know that the simple act of being naked lifts your mood and is a powerful way of protecting our mental health by achieving confidence in our bodies and ourselves.  But how do we communicate that message to those who are not already seeking the solution in nudity, how do we reach those most in need of help?
The cast of long-standing American entertainment show, Saturday Night Live, have found a solution by recording this sketch about the joys of working naked in New York city, mostly in manual roles such as rubbish collection and construction.  This comedy interpretation includes a lot of truth and recognises the joy found in being naked, and with well over half a million views in less than a day has a reach that Naturist organisations can only dream of.  It might be a bit of fun, but it will make people think and maybe a few people will consider being naked to deal with their issues.
It can be found here and is definitely worth a watch
We like to bring you news stories of forthcoming events - it spreads the word, encourages more people to book and shows just how vibrant the Naturist scene is in the UK. However - I'm happy to say - there are far too many to promote them all individually and so here is a complete list of all the events happening over just the next couple of weeks. Enjoy! And don't forget that we are always looking for reports on great gatherings for the magazine and elsewhere...

It's always lovely when non-Naturist holiday venues approach us with the idea that they'd like to host some Naturist times. It's happened before and in one case the venue eventually became fully Naturist.
This is nothing to do with BN, nor a group holiday, but I've been happy to give some guidance and advice and the news will also be broadcast to other Naturist federations.
Michel and Henk are Naturists and are the owners of a stunning property in Portugal - Vila Foia. Their Naturist week will run from 5th to 12th July 2024, on a bed and breakfast basis. There are twelve rooms, some of which can sleep more than two people. Single occupancy is possible and nudity will be permitted everywhere in the resort, including at mealtimes.
You can find out more about the resort, its facilities, the activities planned and how to book at https://www.vilafoia.com/groups/naturist-week. Looking forward to hearing that it's a sell-out!
After a busy year, it's time for an update! Most readers will know that BN has been working with national charity British Heart Foundation for a few years now, and collaborating on two initiatives aimed at raising funds and introducing more people to the wonderful world of social nudity, namely the Great British Skinny Dip and Naked Heart Walks.
So next Monday, 4 December, I'll be talking to members of the BN/BHF team and hear about successes in 2023 and what we can look forward to in 2024. We'll also be revealing how much we've raised - and how you can get involved via swimming, walking, organising, suggesting suitable venues and helping these fantastic projects to keep growing!
Join the session on the night over in the BN shop

Hosted and supported by our friends at The Naturist Foundation, next year’s tournament will take place from May 3rd to May 6th. It will be a full weekend of entertainment alongside the play.
The Naturist Foundation have been redeveloping the playing area through the autumn with the lanes having been increased to championship size. A large grassed area has been added and there will be a marquee close by, in case the weather is inclement.
All members of British Naturism and of British Naturism member clubs are welcome to play in doubles teams, of any combination
of genders. Don’t worry if you are on your own, we’ll find someone for you to form a team with. Everyone will get to play at least five games.
Individuals will compete for the Blackthorns Shield. Can Carole and Karl hold on to the trophy? Clubs will compete for the Broadlands Shield, currently held by Suntreckers.
Supporters and visitors are also welcome – we need lots of noise, so please come along and support your team and club! There is so much for you to do over the bank holiday weekend in between the games. There will be entertainment each evening including open mike, music, comedy, body-painting disco and quiz night.
You’ll be well served for food and drink with a licensed bar all weekend, a café, food van and tea and coffee on tap for free for all during the competition. There will also be a communal BBQ available for everyone’s use.
The Naturist Foundation site has large covered and heated pool, sauna, miniten courts, table tennis and woodland walks - you may even be able to run round the one-mile running circuit through the woods.
Check out the BN events website for further details, including costs for competitors, campers and visitors and how to book.
Look forward to seeing you there!
The summer and autumn of 2023 have seen some major changes to the British Naturism Executive with many new additions and several people reaching the end of their term.  As a result, several long-term projects have reached fruition this year, so it is a good time to look back at what has happened.

Engagement
Over three years we have been building communication, both with members and with other interested bodies.
Our eZine now reaches 10,500 subscribers every week, including many British Naturism members and other Naturists.  However, we also have a multitude of news outlets on our mailing list and this is why so many of our news stories appear in the national press a few days later. The New Member Experience Program now contacts joiners 10 times during the first year to help them feel part of the community.  It includes three separate surveys so we can learn what they are looking for from their membership and gain general feedback. Our Lapsed Mailing Program contacts members who have not renewed to learn why and encourage them to re-join.  A good percentage do return.
The Face of Advertising
We receive regular approaches from companies seeking to use Naturism to promote their product.  We are extremely selective with these requests as we would not want to be endorsing products that do not align with our values or see Naturism used as titillation.
The strongest example of 2023 has been the partnership with Mob Kitchen, funded by Stella Artois to create video shorts combining cooking with Naturist activities such as yoga, cycling, foraging, and swimming.  The purpose was to celebrate the value of nature in our food and our lives and the product has made Naturism more visible.
Naked Education
In 2022 we started working with the production company, Betty TV, to create a television series for Channel 4 about body image and self-worth.  Released this April, the series was ground-breaking for featuring uncensored nudity on terrestrial television before the watershed and addressing the attitudes of young adolescents to the human body.  The stories of people who had overcome a spectrum of physical and mental health issues through nudity was compelling.  The reactions of 14–17-year-olds to these stories and the revelation that our bodies are normal while most media-portrayed bodies are fake was deeply moving.  Although the series provoked some backlash, it stands as a powerful resource for those wanting to listen and address their own body issues.

Research
In 2021 we approved funding for Prof Keon West to conduct a study into how their parents’ attitude to nudity affects the mental well-being of children, both at the time and in later life.  The study, “Think of the children! Experiencing family nudity in childhood nurtures mental wellbeing into adulthood” was published in May on behalf of the National Children’s Bureau in the psychology journal, Children & Society.  The studies found that not only was nudity harmless to children but that a positive family attitude to nudity during childhood was associated with an overall improvement in mental health.  This study, also partly funded by the INF, has been translated into multiple languages and dismisses any concerns about risk to Naturist children.

Global Impact
The International Naturist Federation (INF) has embarked on a process of change and modernisation, as it seeks to become more visible and effective.  British Naturism has played its role in effecting that change.  The elections of Stéphane Deschênes as President and Edwin Kilby – then one of BN’s directors – as Vice President, have brought in new blood and new approaches.  Last year the INF adopted a new and ambitious mission and vision statement, and this year the INF’s shift in attitude has already manifested in:
The Challenges to Naturism conference in Bonn. The 70th Anniversary celebration at CHM Montalivet, which featured a review of the work being done to modernise the organisation, and consideration of how people journey into Naturism. The funding of research and a strategy to support outreach initiatives to promote Naturism Formation of a “rapid reaction” team with a view to spreading Naturism’s message more effectively and reacting in a coordinated way to events that affect Naturism worldwide.
Legal Support
The legal defence of members has been the bedrock of British Naturism for decades.  When Peter and Christine Wright indicated a year ago that it was time to step back from some of their duties, we were not willing to weaken our legal position and instead have taken significant steps to make the feature stronger.
The creation of a funded legal helpline to provide immediate professional help when members run into difficulties with the police, something which is invariably due to the misapplication of the law. The creation of new roles for Peter and Christine to defend members in civil matters, such as inappropriate action by employers. The formation of a team of legally qualified volunteers with expertise across the law to protect the interests of members and advance our campaigning objectives. The assembly of a wider team for campaigning on legal issues than we have had at any time in the past.
Support for Minority Groups
Young British Naturism (YBN) has existed for a long time and the Women in Naturism campaign has been growing over several years, but both have taken significant strides forward this year.
The Women in Naturism officer has been elevated to an EC role so that engagement of female Naturists is ingrained in all our strategic thinking. A new YBN leadership has been appointed and the YBN seat on the EC is now permanently occupied so that support for youth is now marching forwards. The time of the Equality and Diversity Officer is now freed up to focus on other groups, including the differently abled and Naturists from other ethnic backgrounds.
Sunfolk
In 2020 the Sun-folk Society passed stewardship of one of the oldest UK Naturist clubs over to British Naturism to protect the site for future generations of Naturists.  We knew at the time that the post-war buildings were approaching the end of their serviceable life, and that serious investment would be needed to see the site return to its full potential.  Gaining planning permission to work on the greenbelt site has been a long process but in 2023 we have finally been able to begin work, closing our gates through this year to allow construction of a new clubhouse and additional services that set a new standard.  The work has been designed to reflect our values, reflecting empathy with nature, and provide accessibility to the differently abled.  Sunfolk has already proven its value in showing how good Naturism can be and providing a resource that supports media engagement and creates opportunities for people to sample Naturism for the first time in a safe environment.  We are all very excited for when Sunfolk reopens next spring.

Major Events
Our major events have again provided opportunities for many members to come together.
Nudefest, Windermere Woodland Weekend and NKD festivals have again sold out, despite increased capacity. Hotel events such as Bournemouth and Blackpool have been equally successful. The Gathering has found a new home in Stirling after losing previous venues during COVID-19.
The British Heart Foundation Partnership
The Naked Heart Walks in favour of the British Heart Foundation have really come into their own this year.  The relationship has elevated our status with prospective venues such as Powderham Castle and the RSPB Rainham Marshes reserve, meaning that we have achieved Naturist use of some spectacular locations.  The number of Naked Heart Walks has almost tripled this year, meaning that there are more opportunities than ever for nervous non-Naturists to give it a go under the banner of charity fundraising.

Outreach
Face-to-face discussions with non-Naturists remains a priority and our engagement through trade shows has matured to reach new levels in 2023.  With the restrictions on numbers from COVID-19 lifted, the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC made us visible to 110,000 visitors during which time we held 2,300 worthwhile conversations and gave out 2,000 copies of our Guide to Naturism.  We are also returning to the Mind Body Spirit Festival where we will engage an entirely different audience.

EveryBody
This year British Naturism did something new.  Rather than restricting our attentions to card-carrying Naturists, we have reached out to those who are comfortable with or curious about social nudity by launching the EveryBody initiative.  Developed over several years through NKD and Naked Social, the EveryBody brand focusses less on the Naturist label and more on the positive attitude towards our bodies and the mutual respect that we all share.  The EveryBody Festival this year was just the first step in what we expect to be a long-running campaign to normalise nudity, increasing both acceptance and participation.

I’m sitting in a pub on a cold, Tuesday evening in November in East London, writes Colin Taylor. There’s a few other folk here but it's not busy. 10 minutes to go before the doors open for this evening’s BN Naked Comedy Night. Usually, Naturists turn up well before the advertised start time of an event. “Where are they all?” I texted a friend. I nip to the loo and when I emerge there is a queue the length of the pub to get through to the upstairs venue!
An eclectic mix of three acts entertained the 60+ attendees; sadly the usual ratio of women:men were there to watch. One of the acts described the venue as entering the spirit of being naked – beige walls, no décor and no actual stage….
Host, Ben Van Der Velde warmed the crowd up and in prime position were some of the best hecklers in the front row. We were not disappointed  with some of his reactions to their comments. He was familiar to those who had seen him introducing the comedy night at Nudefest. He explained he wouldn’t be appearing naked as it “just didn’t feel right” asking acts to come along and tell them he too was getting his kit off as well as the audience.
First up was a Sikh comedian Daman Bamrah with plenty of jokes about his religion and lifestyle from the Punjab. Kate Lucas was next and her comedy, mostly via song with guitar accompaniment ranged from tales about what if you didn’t like your child, the killing of “Cashier Number 4” from Santander, to a skit about the demographics of Waitrose customers.
The headline act was the very dry-witted UK-based French comedian Marcel Lucont. With red wine glass in hand his deadpan demeanour and heavy accent hid the very funny comment he made on a variety of topics including how big the sand particles are on the Naturist beach in Brighton. He also gave us a choice of a number of poems. He was not an arrogant French comedian, he told us, just confident, assured. His glass empty, he left the “stage” (there is no stage, he told us but he couldn’t get down from the floor!) ready for the encore he knew we would want…confidently. Marcel assuredly appeared naked and gave us descriptions of the cards he held up of variations on the soixant-neuf position in bed.
Encouraged by Marcel’s confident appearance naked, Ben finished the evening with his kit off after all!
On next Monday's (27th November) The Forum Live I'm delighted to be welcoming BN's Sports Officer, Ian Munt (pictured below) as my guest.
Ian's been working hard, putting together a variety of sporting events, big and small, since his appointment earlier this year and will bring us news of all that's been happening around the country and overseas, together with a look forward to all the great events we can participate in in 2024. Sports include swimming, pétanque, miniten, squash, golf and more!
We'll also hear from members of the BN team who recently enjoyed a competitive but fun weekend at the INF swimming gala in Belgrade and from regional sports officers about activity being arranged local to you.
Join the session on the night over in the BN shop

Join host Helen Berriman, BN's Women's Officer, for a new podcast from British Naturism, dedicated to celebrating and empowering women in the Naturist community. Our podcast is created by women for women, although we warmly invite men to join us and listen as well.
In each episode, we delve into insightful conversations, exploring various aspects of Naturism through the lens of womens' experiences. Whether you are a seasoned Naturist, new to the way of life or just intrigued, we aim to educate and inspire. We highlight the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of women in Naturism. Promoting body acceptance and self love, we explore how women across the planet have shed their clothes and freed up their minds, leading them toward a more fulfilling life in all areas; one that no longer keeps them restricted - emotionally, mentally, physically, and in all other ways.
The first episode is with  Linda Weber - Linda is an ambassador for Naturism.  She is a Director with AANR, a Governor with the B.E.A.C.H.E.S Foundation and has many other roles.  We talk about our journeys into Naturism, some of the challenges we face but most of all the joy that Naturism brings.
The BN Women in Focus podcast is available on the following platforms and the first episode will be available on Saturday 2nd December. There is a trailer to listen to in the meantime, to whet your appetite...

Last weekend, British Naturism returned to the NEC, Birmingham, to join the Mind Body Spirit Festival.  The Mind Body Spirit Festival brings together inspirational, motivational speakers, musicians, artists, and vendors from around the globe.  The event showcases spirituality and holistic approaches to wellbeing, including yoga, crystal healing, meditation, healthy living, card and rune reading, and sound and aromatherapy.  Much of the focus is on living naturally and connecting to nature, making the connection to Naturism seamless.
Visitors generally immerse themselves in the festival, meaning that conversations are often deep and build relationships, which is very different from most trade shows.  Many visitors are looking to add something to their lives and in conversation discover that social nudity may be an option.  Visitors are predominantly younger adults and female, demonstrating that there is an appetite in those groups that we need to meet.
Martha and Roy, with their personal commitments to sustainability and fitness led the British Naturism team and forged relationships with both guests and other exhibitors.  Those connections to other groups with aspirations sympathetic to British Naturism are as valuable as spreading the word directly because they open opportunities for sharing between groups.  The long-term aim is that rather than seeing a Naturist event or a yoga retreat, there are just events where all aspects are seen and welcome so that Naturism becomes truly mainstream.
Hopefully we will return next year, playing an even larger role.

It's almost exactly two years since we heard from Sönke from Get Naked Germany (GNG), hearing how the group started and how they work alongside German Naturist Federation, DFK.
This time, we'll also have the pleasure of meeting Ralf, chairman of GNG who runs a group of naturist bikers who are mostly accepted by other people they meet during our tours. Ralf came across Naturism during a depression a few years ago and believes that it is very important to talk about the positive effects of being naked to other people, helping heal a lot of wounds.
Sönke and Ralf will also speak about GNGs application to get Naturism acknowledged as intangible cultural heritage and their contribution  to the EuNat Meeting in Bonn in March of this year.

We're pleased to be returning to exhibit at the NEC in Birmingham to spread the word about Naturism and its many benefits. The show runs from tomorrow (17 Nov) until Sunday. BN members Martha and Roy will be on hand to answer all the questions, and inspire people about clothes-free living.
The Mind Body Spirit Festival features inspirational, motivational speakers, musicians, artists and performers from across the globe. As well as a whole host of exhibitors presenting health and wellbeing products, organic food, therapies, jewellery, holistic retreats, divinations, supplements and healing.
Around 10,000 people are expected to attend and, according to the organisers, 89% of them are female.
The festival is open to the general public and if you use the code EXHNECFAMILY25' you will get a discount of 25% on your ticket.
We're hosting a ladies only clothing-optional afternoon at a residential property in Foxton, Cambridge on Saturday 9th December at 2pm.
Come along for an opportunity for women to get together to support Cancer research UK.  There will be an afternoon tea buffet, prosecco, aromatherapy talk, cake sale, jewellery sale, raffle, hot tub with massages available for a further cost.
Find out more including booking details in the BN shop - and don't forget the British Naturism Members' ladies' only holiday to Fuerteventura next April!

This event is open to all and therefore a brilliant opportunity to invite someone you know to try a Naturist event. Get them excited in advance by showing them our annual guide!

Over Halloween, more than 90 guests attend SANER’s annual event ‘The Gathering’ in the historic city of Stirling at the King Robert hotel, writes Danny Callaghan. It’s on the site of the Battle of Bannockburn (1314), a date most Scots remember when we had a historic victory of the Auld Enemy the English. However this time no skirmishes were reported and our English guests returned home tired, happy but unscathed.
The event saw ghosts, ghouls and witches and pumpkins galore.  A real scary sight. The witches were hunted down along the corridors and public areas and I am pleased to report that none were burnt. A tradition at The Gathering is to have a hunt, - it has been haggis and rugby balls before, but witches this time. It is a great way for guests to explore the hotel, clutching the answer sheets - fun to watch too.
Guests listened to a talk about the Battle of Bannockburn by the battle site’s resident expert Dr Callum Watson, followed by an Elvis tribute act who stood in at the last minute due to our Abba group having had a sudden bereavement. Elvis had everyone singing along and the evening was completed by our resident DJ Brian Mathews, then off to bed (or bar) before another full day.
Tuesday started with a lovely breakfast and many guests headed out to explore Historic Stirling, its castle and other attractions. Others relaxed or took part in Mike’s spooky quiz. As evening approached it was time for our guests to get appropriately dressed in best Halloween body and face painting and witches hats and with broomsticks, there were even a few walking pumpkins seen. The evening was rounded off with one of the hotel’s regular acts Roberta Childs performing tributes to such as Diana Ross, Tina Turner and many other, leaving us all with sore throats singing along and sore feet with the dancing.  Some lasted to dance the evening away with our disco maestro Brian.
After a morning worship led by Quin and we visited Stirling Old Town Jail for a creepy naked lock-up. Most inmates were released in time for dinner, although some were left in solitary confinement with only bread and water. Our evening saw some ladies in big hats for the Witches Nag Racing.  With our uniform nobody lost their shirts though there were a few empty wallets. Thanks to Moss once again.
The hotel and their staff were fantastic taking us in their stride and  I am sure like me  more than a few guests headed home couple kilos heavier after the excellent meals. Our generous guests left the staff tip-box overflowing.
As is our norm at the Gathering we support a local charity, this time the Strathcarron Hospice with a raffle and also proceeds from the horse race and generous donations from guests we raised the fantastic sum of over £500.
A big thanks to all our volunteers for without them there would be no Gathering and also to all our guests new and old for joining us for another successful event.
Haste ye Back!

Danny Callaghan

Next Monday, 13 November, at 7:30 pm, BN's Women's Officer, Helen Berriman together with a team of women in Naturism will discuss some of the issues surrounding female participation and what men can do to help, including Naturist etiquette, how to discuss Naturism with spouses and partners, providing examples of best practice, and be available to answer any questions men may have.  With special guest Linda Weber from AANR and others.  A must watch/listen for all!
Join the session on the night over in the BN shop
Consent: Stopping the Misuse of Intimate Images
Among the many proposed bills outlined in the King’s speech yesterday was the indication of plans to deal with the creation of intimate images without consent.  The Online Safety Act has already criminalised revenge porn and upskirting but has left many circumstances where women in particular suffer from the ease of digital image creation that we live with today.
The subject is of interest to Naturists due to the amount to time we spend naked and how frequently we appear naked in photos, but far more important are the underlying principles of Naturism.  Naturism is founded on respect for one another.  Last year a study by UN Women UK found that 97% of women aged 18-24 have suffered sexual harassment while 28,201 incidents of private sexual images being disclosed without consent were reported to the police between 2015 and 2021.  Such shocking statistics reflect an unsatisfactory level of respect for women and demand attention.  The work of British Naturism promotes the right of people to freedom of choice and expression.  That might be the choice to live naked, but it might also be the choice to not be seen naked.  The central issue here is consent, the decisions about our own bodies should be our own to make.  The creation or distribution of intimate images without consent can be as harmful as any other sexual offences.
It will come as no surprise that the Law Commission approached British Naturism for input as early as 2020 when the “Taking, making and sharing intimate images without consent” project was being launched.  Our expertise in respectful handling of nudity was of value and we were pleased to see the recommendations of the final report reflect our own recommendations very closely.  In particular the Law Commission found our input on how we define and establish consent very helpful as they were keen to deal with exploitation without accidentally criminalising legitimate behaviour, such as consensual nude recreation.  To achieve boundaries that will be applicable in practice, the recommendations align with existing legislation such as consent being considered in the same terms as consent for other sexual activity and the limits of intimate linked to a reasonable expectation of privacy as well as the nature of the image.
The passage of such recommendations into law will be an asset to Naturists.  In the UK we see a male-heavy gender imbalance in the Naturist community because although people are treated with respect at Naturist events, with many women reporting that they feel at their safest, the abuse, harassment, and objectification that women experience elsewhere makes it difficult for them to imagine that it would be any different if they are naked and they miss out on a wholly-positive experience. If as a society we move towards a situation where sexual exploitation is not tolerated, we will all enjoy much greater freedom to live as we chose.  Our commitment to helping people reclaim ownership of their bodies continues and this is one step along the way.  Therefore, we are proud of the small contribution we made and hope to see progress towards an attitude of respect for all.
Mark Bass, President of British Naturism
It’s #TrusteesWeek!  The time of year when we celebrate the amazing contribution made by trustees for their charities, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations and recognise the difference they make.
Trustees’ Week is an annual event held during November (this year 6-10 November 2023) to showcase the great work people do as trustees, directors and committee members and provide opportunities for everyone to get involved and make a difference.  This year’s theme is ‘Many voices. Working together. With purpose’.  It’s a time to celebrate the achievements of trustees across the UK and to thank them for the time, commitment, and effort they bring to our charities, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations.
Charities, not-for-profit and voluntary organisations make a huge and positive impact on society and are dedicated to an enormous variety of good causes.  This year we celebrate the individual talents, viewpoints and experiences each trustee brings to their board and their collective decision making and how diversity can help make a trustee-led organisation stronger.

Many voices. Working together. With purpose
A recent face-to-face BN Executive Committee meeting with the new team on board was held in Solihull.  It was indeed an opportunity to work together and to hear the many voices present, as well as contributions voiced on the forum by members in response to the recent call for ideas about campaigning ideas.  There was a clear agenda with purpose, with key decisions made about:
Budget 2024 5 Year Vision Objectives and Delivery Plan 2024 Campaigns 2024 60th Anniversary Events 2023/2024 YBN Strategy
Volunteering as a Director/EC Member can be very rewarding and puts you at the heart of the organisation’s governance and decision making ..… you are literally in the room where it happens.

If you want to contribute to change for something you believe in – get engaged.
I enjoy being involved, being able to influence the organisation and to ensure my views are heard, even if not always accepted.  It also keeps me very busy!
I want to be part of a team willing to actively promote the benefits of naturism; to help normalise nudity to the wider public; to achieve acceptance that there is nothing unusual about the naked body.  To educate!
I like being a member of the EC because I can help shape the future and I enjoy being part of a team.

Getting On Board – Turning Passion into Purpose
